The Song Is You
Frank Sinatra Lyrics

I hear music when I look at you
A beautiful theme of every dream I ever knew
Down deep in my heart I hear it play
I can feel it start, then melts away

I hear music when I touch your hand
A beautiful melody from some enchanted land
Down deep in my heart, I hear it say
"Is this the day?"

I alone have heard this lovely strain
I alone have heard this glad refrain
Must it be forever inside of me?
Why can't I let it go? Why can't I let you know?

Why can't I let you know the song my heart would sing?
That beautiful rhapsody of love and youth and spring
The music is sweet, the words are true
The song is you

Why can't I let you know the song my heart would sing?
That beautiful rhapsody of love, and youth and spring
The music is sweet, the words are true
The song is you

This is smoking hot. I was definitely born in the wrong era. Where is Frank, Sammy and Dino? Nobody like these guys anymore.

Mason Michael

@Carl Trotter Music today isn't bad, you aren't searching for music you enjoy.

Mason Michael

@Carl Trotter What does the artists name have to do with their craft? Do you want artists to smoke and die at the ripe old age of 45?

Carl Trotter

Three things forged these men: Hard youth, the thick effect that smoking had on their voices and lastly, the political landscape.

Men like these aren't around anymore because not one of these is present in most of today's society as a whole. We are treated to the occasional gem like Mr. Tony Bennett but for the most part, we are left with autotuned mumbling morons such as 'Ariana Grande' or inaudible rappers with vegetative names such as 'lil peep' (that is an actual 'artist').

Your post is so accurate.

John W.H.D. Jones

One of my personal favourites......the song is really Frank

+John W.H.D. Jones I agree, John. It is a perfect example of Frank at his peak.

I remember in the early days of Entertainment Tonight this song played during the "paparazzi" segment of the show.
