The group included five boys, all in their early to mid teens. The original lineup of the Teenagers, an integrated group, included three African-American members, Frankie Lymon, Jimmy Merchant and Sherman Garnes, and two Puerto Rican members, Herman Santiago and Joe Negroni.
The Teenagers' first single, 1956's "Why Do Fools Fall in Love", was also their biggest. After Lymon went solo in mid-1957, both his career and those of the Teenagers fell into decline. Lymon eventually fell into heroin addiction, and died in 1968 at the age of twenty-five.

It’s Christmas Time Once Again
Frankie Lymon Lyrics
Bum-bum-bum-bum
Merry voices raised in singing
Carols through the streets are ringing
All because it's Christmas once again
Lovers kiss in public shyly
Mistletoe was hung there slyly
All because it's Christmas once again
Little kiddies' noses flattened on the window pane
Peeking at the dollys and the shiney choo-choo trains
Santa's hitching up his reindeer, has his bag packed tight
Everything is ready for the sleigh ride through the night
Christmas trees with lights are twinkling
Glasses filled with snowflakes sprinkling
All because it's Christmas once again
So here's a wish we keep repeating
Please accept the season's greetings
All because it's Christmas once again
Bum-bum-bum-bum-bum
Merry voices raised in singing
Carols through the streets are ringing
All because it's Christmas once again
Lovers kiss in public shyly
Mistletoe was hung there slyly
All because it's Christmas once again
Peeking at the dollys and the shiney choo-choo trains
Santa's hitching up his reindeer, has his bag packed tight
Everything is ready for the sleigh ride through the night
Christmas trees with lights are twinkling
Glasses filled with snowflakes sprinkling
All because it's Christmas once again
So here's a wish we keep repeating
Please accept the season's greetings
All because it's Christmas once again

Legacy Is Reborn
OMG I've never heard him sing this. Frankie at his best here no lip syncing or anything. Just a raw flawless performance. Thanks for posting Jeremy.
Legacy Is Reborn
Anthony Goedhart this is a live performance. Cause I actually have the bear family complete recordings of Frankie Lymon. I brought it sometime last year on a website. It has almost all the live performances he did with the teenagers, and live performances when he left the group and went solo. So yeah this performance of him on the Ed Sullivan show is on there. Just listen to the regular recording and the live recording. That will prove that he's not lip syncing.
Legacy Is Reborn
Anthony Goedhart hey what can I say I tried lol. You need to get your eyes checked. You can look at the video and tell he's not lip syncing lol. Oh well.....my man it's not that serious. Have a nice day.
