Automatic
Frazzle Lyrics

Most girls like you
Well they get a few tattoos, they get their belly buttons pierced
After they smoke weed and leak tears
Well rebel angels automatic
Personality symptomatic
To attack the boys who never notice me like trees
And sitting in the tub we watched your skin peel
And you threw it in the trash outside the CVS and ran away laughing
And you couldn't stop and then it started pouring
And your new skin it was glowing
And the man next door was moaning
What would you do if the world caught on fire?
Would you stop drop and roll up to the party
Where we were dressed like flowers and caterpillars
And they were dressed like buildings with electric lights and empty eyes
We ate all the buildings and we laughed at the ceiling
And it came crashing down on cars fleeing to the country
Where they could raise their children to be
Daughters and lawyers, allude mental disorders
Babe was they you who I heard crying last night in your sleep?
Sold not to keep
But you rebel angels automatic
Personality symptomatic
To accept the gifts that were not given you for free
Sitting late at night we watched the sun rise
Well it was dark, a sweet surprise that startled your cherub smile
And you pushed me off the side, you thought I could fly
What would you do if they took you for a martyr?
Would you throw your sins in the lake and smear you lipstick on your face
Just build a raft for you mistakes
And you fell apart in the bathroom by the hall
And you prayed to god that you would go big and tall
So you could run to the country and raise your children to be
Daughters and lawyers, allude mental disorders
Rebel angels automatic, personality symptomatic
To attack the boys who never notice me like trees
Rebel angels automatic, personality symptomatic
To accept the gifts that were not given you for free.
The lyrics to Frazzle's song "Automatic" delve into themes of self-discovery, rebellion, and longing for attention and acceptance. The song seems to focus on a protagonist who feels overlooked and invisible, contrasting themselves with other girls who embrace behaviors that attract attention, such as getting tattoos and piercing their belly buttons. The lyrics suggest a feeling of frustration and resentment towards those who receive attention effortlessly.
The mention of sitting in a tub and watching skin peel could symbolize shedding old identities or trying to change oneself to be noticed. The act of throwing the removed skin in the trash and running away laughing might represent a disregard for the past and a desire to start fresh. However, it is also a fleeting moment, as the rain washes away the new skin, leaving the singer exposed once again.
The song poses a hypothetical question about what one would do if the world was on fire, using it as a metaphor for chaos and destruction. It suggests that the singer would choose to escape reality by partying and donning costumes that provide temporary distractions. The lyrics further explore the idea of societal expectations and the pressure to conform, highlighting the singer's desire to break free from those constraints.
In the final verse, there is a reflection on vulnerability and the yearning for validation. The mention of crying in sleep and feeling like a possession to be sold implies a sense of loneliness and desperation for someone to truly see and understand the singer. The lyrics also touch upon the idea of being judged for one's choices and the need to find solace and redemption in religion.
Overall, "Automatic" portrays a complex mix of emotions, including frustration, longing, rebellion, and the desire for connection. It explores themes of identity, self-expression, and societal pressures, ultimately leaving the listener to ponder the consequences of conforming or rebelling against societal norms.

@AATHEISTU History has shown that life has been getting better for Black people in America, not worse. Is it perfect? No. But it's equal in the eyes of the law.
Now if you want to talk about racial issues, then you should look at culture and how it affects the opinions of society. This country is actively seeking out equality opportunities for every minority in a daily basis. But there are those individuals that choose to exploit that effort, like these punks.
That's an encouraged behavior because of victimhood. Eradicate that, and true equality will be reached.
I, for one, won't treat any minority less than my own. It's time some people take responsibility for their actions.
BTW, I'm Indonesian-Chinese and Caucasian. Not white. So let's dispense with the racism argument, shall we?
