1. Fruition (Portland, OR) has been showcasing their captivating brand of Folk, Soul, Grass and Rock 'n Roll to the West Coast since 2008. In the last few years they have expanded to the greater US scene, playing theaters, bars, street corners and Music Festivals all over the country (SXSW, High Sierra Music Fest, Yarmony Grass, String Summit, Oregon Country Fair, Omaha Summerfest and many more.)
This year they're hitting it even harder - they opened for Railroad Earth at the Crystal Ballroom (Portland, OR) for NYE, and are venturing out on a several-month tour that will hit all corners of the USA. They've shared stages with a range of popular bands- ALO, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain Stringband, Scott Law, Everclear, Railroad Earth, Furthur, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Leftover Salmon, Elephant Revival, Hot Buttered Rum, Delhi 2 Dublin, Infamous Stringdusters, Great American Taxi, Danny Barnes, Head for the Hills, and many many more.
In June of 2013, they will be putting out a new full-length album that will surely thrust them from opening-slots and small stages to headlining gigs and large capacity venues.

2. Having recently supported The View, Larrikin Love, The Rifles, The Modern and The Holloways, Fruition are taking great pleasure in giving their music to the masses. They take to the stage with a great energy and always entertain. All from a little village called Pirton the boys strive to bring a sense of community and passion to the procedings
The band has worked hard on creating their own style influenced by rather than sounding like the bands that have inspired the individual members. They also work hard in the studio to make the tunes released give people the same energy they feel at the live shows. Not content with what they have got they are going out to grab everyone and get them jumping.
FOMO

What am I doing here at all
She liked a picture on my wall
There's cocaine cowboys in the bathroom
They haven't moved since 10 o'clock
They always keep their mouths wide open
They always keep the door unlocked
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
There's two guys fighting in the backyard
But I'm pretty sure they're friends
They'll be fine again come morning
Depending how this contest ends
Here comes that dude that drives me crazy
He's with a girl that I once loved
He's always acting really shady
He's always trying to feed me drugs
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
When morning comes upon the warzone
There's wounded soldiers all around
There's broken spirits by the backdoor
I line em up and take em down
When did the fun all turn to problems
When did my friends all up and leave
A redface wrecked among the robins
The last one up is always he
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
Baby, You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
Nah, you ain't missing on nothing
You ain't missing out
The song FOMO by Fruition is a commentary on the party culture and how it can lead to disillusionment and detachment from reality. The lyrics use vivid imagery to describe the scene at a wild party. The opening lines talk about "wasted white girls in the basement" and the singer questioning what they are doing there. He then describes "cocaine cowboys" in the bathroom who are motionless, with their mouths open and the door unlocked, hinting at the reckless drug use that often goes on at parties.
The singer also talks about a fight going on in the backyard, but reassures himself that they're probably just friends and will be fine come morning, indicating a casual attitude towards violence. The character of a former love interest is introduced, who is with a shady guy that is always trying to feed the singer drugs. The chorus repeatedly reassures the listener that they are not missing out on anything, implying that the wild party scene is not as glamorous as it may seem.
Towards the end of the song, the tone shifts from a party anthem to a somber reflection on the aftermath. The singer talks about "wounded soldiers" and "broken spirits" the morning after the party, implying that the wild night may have had consequences. The last line "the last one up is always he" suggests the loneliness and isolation that can sometimes come with partying.
Overall, FOMO is a warning against getting sucked into the party scene and losing touch with reality. While it may seem fun in the moment, there are often consequences that can be damaging in the long run.
