1. Fruition (Portland, OR) has been showcasing their captivating brand of Folk, Soul, Grass and Rock 'n Roll to the West Coast since 2008. In the last few years they have expanded to the greater US scene, playing theaters, bars, street corners and Music Festivals all over the country (SXSW, High Sierra Music Fest, Yarmony Grass, String Summit, Oregon Country Fair, Omaha Summerfest and many more.)
This year they're hitting it even harder - they opened for Railroad Earth at the Crystal Ballroom (Portland, OR) for NYE, and are venturing out on a several-month tour that will hit all corners of the USA. They've shared stages with a range of popular bands- ALO, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain Stringband, Scott Law, Everclear, Railroad Earth, Furthur, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Leftover Salmon, Elephant Revival, Hot Buttered Rum, Delhi 2 Dublin, Infamous Stringdusters, Great American Taxi, Danny Barnes, Head for the Hills, and many many more.
In June of 2013, they will be putting out a new full-length album that will surely thrust them from opening-slots and small stages to headlining gigs and large capacity venues.

2. Having recently supported The View, Larrikin Love, The Rifles, The Modern and The Holloways, Fruition are taking great pleasure in giving their music to the masses. They take to the stage with a great energy and always entertain. All from a little village called Pirton the boys strive to bring a sense of community and passion to the procedings
The band has worked hard on creating their own style influenced by rather than sounding like the bands that have inspired the individual members. They also work hard in the studio to make the tunes released give people the same energy they feel at the live shows. Not content with what they have got they are going out to grab everyone and get them jumping.

watching all the people as they're sitting in the shade
waiting for the Greyhound, to take them away
but I only got five dollars so I guess I'm a gonna stay
I ain't got no problem just a being where I'm at
well I guess I could be somewhere else, but I don't care about that
so leave me where I'm sitting, or come and join the song
oh Lord I'm still gonna git along
them birds are singing in the trees and the sky is clear and hot
the wind keeps on blowin up big black clouds of exhaust
and I can't think of a better day just to be right where I am
well I'm satisfied with whichever way the cards are gonna land
I ain't got no problem just a being where I'm at
well I guess I could be somewhere else, but I don't care about that
so leave me where I'm sitting, or come and join the song
‘cause no matter what my friends I'm still gonna git along
oh Lord I'm still gonna git along
I ain't got no one to want me, I ain't got no place to go
I don't need no one to validate the things I think I know
I'm ‘a sit here grinning let that sun come burn my skin
I don't give a damn about the odds ‘cause I know I'm a bound to win
I ain't got no problem just a being where I'm at
well I guess I could be somewhere else,
but I don't care about that
so leave me where I'm sitting,
or come and join the song
‘cause no matter what my friends I'm still gonna git along
oh Lord I'm still gonna git along
The lyrics of Fruition's song Git Along express contentment with one's present circumstances and a willingness to make the most of them. The singer is at a bus station on a sunny day, watching people waiting for the Greyhound to take them away. The singer has only five dollars and cannot leave, but that's not a problem. The surroundings may not be perfect, but they do not need to be. The birds are singing, the sky is clear, and the wind is blowing big black clouds of exhaust, but the singer can't think of a better day to be right where they are.
In the second verse, the singer reiterates their satisfaction with their current situation. They don't need to be validated by anyone or have a specific place to go. They are grinning and letting the sun burn their skin, not worrying about the odds because they know they are bound to win. The chorus then repeats: the singer doesn't care where they are or who joins them, they are still going to Git Along.
The song's message is one of contentment and positivity, even in less-than-ideal circumstances. The singer refuses to be unhappy or dissatisfied, instead enjoying the present moment and looking to the future with confidence. It's a message that resonates with many people, making Git Along a beloved song among Fruition fans.
