In 2007, the band announced the release of a career-spanning retrospective called "Don't look back", to be accompanied by a tour. Following the completion of that tour in late August 2008, the group entered an indefinite hiatus.
The brothers Wingenfelder reformed as Wingenfelder & Wingenfelder and have released three albums and a b-sides album, with plans record a fourth in 2017. Rainer Schumann released a solo album under the name Schumann. Christof Stein formed Wohnraumhelden and has released three albums under that name.
In 2016, the band reformed for their 30th anniversary, and released a new track. Additional new tracks were included in the band's new retrospective "30 - The Ultimate Best Of Collection."

Falling Apart
Fury In The Slaughterhouse Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Always had harder questions
For all these flimsy answers
Falling from grace ... locked away in outer space
Saving deep emotions never touched upon
Falling apart
Falling apart ... right before the start
Broken heart....fallout
Lost in dirt and dust
Tried to escape vanity and hate
I磎 not the one providing answers
Can barely help myself
Falling apart
Falling apart
I磎 Falling apart
The lyrics of Fury In The Slaughterhouse's "Falling Apart" convey a sense of confusion and a struggle to find meaning in life. The first verse describes a frustrating cycle of hard questions and inadequate answers that ultimately lead to falling apart. This can be interpreted as a commentary on the inherent difficulties of navigating life's challenges, despite our best efforts to make sense of it all.
The second verse seems to touch on a feeling of isolation and alienation - falling from grace, locked away in outer space, and saving deep emotions never touched upon. This speaks to the idea that while we may strive to present a certain image to the world, there are parts of ourselves we keep hidden away, either out of fear or a sense of shame.
The final verse finds the vocalist in a state of brokenness, trying to escape the negative influences of vanity and hate. The final lines, "I'm not the one providing answers, can barely help myself," convey a sense of hopelessness and a lack of agency. Overall, the lyrics to "Falling Apart" paint a picture of someone struggling to find direction and meaning in a confusing and chaotic world.
