Catatonic Eclipse
G//Z/R Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Download me, kill me
I know, what I do
Time dreams are everywhere
They're watching you, too
When life slips away
Fear tastes the kill
Death teacher find me
They know what to do

Morpheus calls me
My future is here
Sleep not to dream
The meaning unclear
Down morphine passages
Through cybersex please
To terror morph images
Of viral disease

No time in space
No planet of hate
All ethics fade
In this silicon state

I stand at death's door
There's no need to knock
Hands of tomorrow
Winding death's clock

Morpheus calls me
My future is here
Sleep not to dream
The meaning unclear
Down morphine passages
Through cybersex please

To terror morph images
Of viral disease

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of G//Z/R's Catatonic Eclipse are mysterious and open to interpretation. The song seems to be describing an intense and unsettling experience that is causing fear and confusion. The opening lines, "Download me, kill me, I know what I do," suggest a sense of control and knowledge over a dangerous situation. The "time dreams" that are "watching" suggest a feeling of being constantly monitored or pursued. The fear that "tastes the kill" suggests a feeling of impending doom.

The mention of Morpheus, the Greek god of sleep, adds to the surreal nature of the song. The lyrics seem to imply that the singer is experiencing a hallucinatory state, possibly induced by drugs or technology. The "morphine passages" and "cybersex" suggest a blending of the physical and digital worlds. The "viral disease" could be a metaphor for a destructive force that is taking over the mind.

The final lines suggest that the singer is facing death, perhaps as a result of the experience they have been through. The "hands of tomorrow" winding "death's clock" imply a sense of inevitability. Overall, the lyrics of Catatonic Eclipse paint a vivid and unsettling picture of a disturbing experience that blurs the line between reality and fantasy.

Oppressors??? What about the union? They tell you how you should vote in elections, take a fee, and have left a few people I know high and dry when they needed them most. They don't believe in performance based incentives, brought us the plague of tenure in the public school system, leave kids high and dry when teachers are too cheap to contribute a few extra dollars to amazing healthcare plans, and actually have contributed to the erosion of the US economy by driving up steel, automobile, and other product prices. Employers responded by shipping jobs out of the country, and China now has us by the balls.
