@chilanya

i heard this once on my radio (alarm clock set to a classical station) and half asleep it entered my dreams. i never heard the name and thought the piece itself was a beautiful, haunting and melancholy theme to my dream. i was so happy to find it again and that it was not a dream but an actual existing piece.

@exazebra

I forgot that waking up to radio was even a thing.
Sounds like a pretty good way to start the day, glad you found it again. There's so much emotion in this piece.

@evanboyer5928

it would've been cooler of your brain had managed to concoct something this sophisticated when you were asleep, and you were able to recall it, and officially compose it. Sometimes I hear music, music that I think is quite good, in my dreams that I know doesn't exist elsewhere. I can never remember it well enough to write it down tho.

@chilanya

@@evanboyer5928 True. but if it were my own "work" i, too, wouldn't have been able to write down the fleeting memories. So i am glad that it existed.
The only creative endeavour i've ever remembered from a dream was a 4 line poem in a non-existent language, lol

@rubytuesday8888

@@evanboyer5928 Happens to me too, and it's frustrating! (cuz it was so beautiful and special in the dream!)

@syafiqp

This piece proves there's still much room for brilliant classical music to be composed. For this reason the genre cannot simply be forgotten by modern musicians. We owe it to the composers of the last few centuries, to our children and to musical history itself.

@turgor58

I listen to classical radiostations a lot. But to be honest there way too many Joseph Haydn, Bach and Mozart. Please let there be more 'room' for the contempory composers like Arvo, Max Richter, Alofur Arnolds or Hans Zimmer, to give a brief example. Creativity does not stand still!!!!

@kasper6873

@Bob Moon Too much Bach? Haha. There simply cannot be too much Bach.

@turgor58

@p a p i Bach is like a guy with a big belly standing in a crowded room in which the small beautifull girl cannot be seen anymore standing right behind him.

@kasper6873

@Bob Moon Interesting analogy, you're suggesting Bach's works are mere filler?
