After 2 days exercising I could improve my results about 1.5% on average compared to the results of the first Diagnostic Test.
It's a pity, that test: Word Meaning is not translated (from english to other language for non english speaking countries like in my case) Here couldn't do nothing.

I believe this is all for show and experiment. The real great workers will prove in a matter of time that they can do the work. Many people have College degrees and look for people with experience to help them out when their in difficult situations at work. Some people are book smart and others are street smart. Logical, reasoning, empathy are not taught in school. Life experiences, practices and situations teach you!!

How the heck some can judge software engineers of their ability to solve business problems at work by asking them to do such tests?

That's a good question. Like I wrote here before, big companies cannot interview every applicant, and they rather use cognitive tests to filter out candidates.
And it works, these tests don't have anything to do with the actual job, but they do a decent job of filtering unfitting candidates. In the process, you lose many great potential employees, but in large, it's still worth it for the employer.
Sadly, there's nothing you can do but play the game or apply to smaller companies.

It's mainly HR people who are idiots who don't understand how measurements work. I did one of these test at some point which mainly contained exercises about 2-degree polynomials. (although hidden in text) The problem here is that the test then only measures your ability to take the test.

many people in comments are upset but remember it is you who needs a job more than business needs you. You are free to make your own business and make your own rules, until then if you need a job just do it. Now you don't have to take this test, not every business requires them.

The name of this test is not accurate as the test's true purpose is not to measure general intelligence. It's to see if you're a robot who can read, memorize, comprehend and then answer perfectly 50 questions in 5 sections each, in under 2 seconds for each question. Because the questions themselves are not hard and have absolutely nothing to do with the skills needed for the job you're applying for. Therefore it's unfair to expect candidates to be robots.

God forbid people take their time in the workplace so that they can do the job while minimizing their mistakes. Or take the time to think about a problem so that they con come up with the best solution. No, every employee in every company is a robot so you should be one too.

All the angry people here 100% failed this test. I banged out a 87. (173 out of 183 correct). Would have gotten a 90+ if i was less nervous about 1 subject

What the F is this test? Imagine you have PhD in the field and know more than the hiring manager and in fact all of the company about their stuff and now they are judging on your intelligence with this nonsense exam!

You have a point here, I can't argue with that. Many companies, and especially big companies, use screening tests like the Thomas GIA test, to filter out candidates from a big pool. Sadly, many times your resume will not be read by anyone if you don't pass this step.
Hiring processes can be cruel and the only thing you can do is prepare yourself as much as you can, whether is getting to know the company and its culture, or reading about your upcoming assessment, trying to understand what you're about to face.

@JobTestPrep A company I'm interviewing for is giving me this test at the 4th interview stage, and the recruiter has told me I'm the preferred candidate. I wouldn't say they are using it as a pre-filter at this stage...

@dzfz2100 That's very interesting and it does happen in some cases. It's not rare, but the vast majority of cases are of pre-interview screening.
I also think that if it's in the 4th interview stage, you probably just need to pass it, especially if you're a preferred candidate.

Logic and reasoning are taught in Mathematic - Statistics; Empathy is taught in Sociology. Education is good. street smart is hit or miss. Both are good. One alone is dangerous.
