That's what my mama said
So are you calling her a liar
Or will you come home with me instead
I can buy you a drink (I'll buy you any drink)
I can buy you a house (I'll buy you any house)
I can buy you anything
Just to get a look into your blouse
This ain't a head game baby this is a heart attack
We had an oral contract
You're breaking federal law
You can't just leave me here
Come back where you belong oh
Maybe the time isn't right
But you can see my schedule is wide open
Maybe I'm just not your type
But there's no bigger fish here in the whole wide ocean
I'm tryin' harder than I should
Can't I just administer a love potion
Maybe I'm not looking good
No need to kiss me with your eyes open
I never saw it coming
Didn't think you'd easily distract
You were hot and he was cool but sometimes
Opposites attract
You're seeking outside counsel
On the long distance line
Take back that SOS
Let's save ourselves some time
You'd better love me or give me my money back
This ain't a head game baby this is a heart attack
We had an oral contract
You're breaking federal law
You can't just leave me here
Come back where you belong oh
Maybe the time isn't right
But you can see my schedule is wide open
Maybe I'm just not your type
But there's no bigger fish here in the whole wide ocean
I'm trying harder than I should
Can't I just administer a love potion
Maybe I'm not looking good
No need to kiss me with your eyes open
You'd better love me or give me my money back
This ain't a head game baby this is a heart attack
We had an oral contract
You're breaking federal law
You can't just leave me here
So come back to where you belong
The lyrics of GA-20's song "Give Me Back My Wig" depict a narrator who is trying desperately to win over the affection and attention of a woman. The song begins with the singer boasting about how the ladies love him, as his mother has always told him. He challenges anyone who doubts his mother's words and invites them to come home with him instead. He offers to buy the woman anything she desires, emphasizing his willingness to spend money just to catch a glimpse of her. The repeated refrain of "you'd better love me or give me my money back" shows the singer's frustration with his lack of success in winning her over, as he feels cheated and deceived by her.
The lyrics also highlight the singer's persistence in pursuing the woman, even though she may not reciprocate his feelings. He mentions that their time may not be right and he might not be her type, but he suggests that there are no other options for her as he is the best she can have. The singer humorously mentions the possibility of using a love potion or having to resort to drastic measures in order to win her affections. He expresses his surprise at being blindsided by her departure, as he didn't expect her to be easily swayed by another man who is the opposite of him. The song concludes with a plea for her to come back to him and a reminder that she can't just leave him, as if she is breaking a contract or a law.
Overall, the lyrics of "Give Me Back My Wig" portray a persistent protagonist who is desperate for love and attention, willing to go to great lengths and spend money just to capture the attention of the woman he desires. The song captures the frustration and vulnerability that can come with unrequited love, as well as the willingness to do almost anything to win someone over.
