Damn I think of my dad and me jamming out to old great rock music. He passed in November of 2023 at 53. I’m 29. I miss him every damn day!! Talked to him everyday.. My mom had this album.
I remember this, as well as many others, being played throughout a lot of my youth which helped shape my path into music.
She would always say after this song “ patience is the one thing in life that will get you the farthest” , boy was she right.
It wasn’t long in to high school the wisdom I received from her came to a tragic end…but it’s value lasted a life time.

The end kind of came quickly for Guns, but for a short period of time, my lord, were they phenomenal. A lot of technically great musicians, topped off by one of the greatest and most unique voices in rock and roll history.

NOBODY before or since sounded like Axl. I honestly think I can make an argument that he had THE greatest voice ever. Hes famous for his screech, but it was a MELODIC screech lol, and in songs like this, and "Dont Cry", you hear just how CRAZY his range is asa singer as well.

Lastly, his lyrics. They are like poetry, and so far above SO MANY bands where the lyrics are either downright jibberish, or just sound like they were written during a five minute you know what.

You can hear the time Axl put into the words. He and this band werent just about making money and scoring with chicks. You can tell they had a lot of pride in the quality of the music they put out.

Summer of 1989. Im 8. sitting on my brothers shag carpet floor the day before 3rd grade listening to this. Worried about tomorrow, but feeling so cool hanging with my 2 older brothters. Life was simple. The World wasn't crazy. I fell in love with not just a song, but a moment in my life when we were still all together.

welson silva na vdd as duas palavras existem na língua portuguesa e estão corretas. Podemos utilizar os verbos assobiar ou assoviar sempre que quisermos referir o ato de emitir um assobio ou assovio com a boca ou com um apito, ou seja, emitir um som agudo. Mas o mais correto é assoBiar, apesar de que assoViar tbm está correto mas é menos usado.
