Band ini memilih aliran musik reggae karena jiwa dari musik tersebut dianggap dapat mewakili masing-masing pribadi personil. Dari awal terbentuknya hingga saat ini Gangstarasta telah banyak tampil di musik di Jakarta hingga ke berbagai daerah di luar pulau, seperti : NTT, Sulawesi, Maluku, dan Papua.

Gangstarasta pernah mengalahkan band Ungu dalam jumlah penonton dengan perbandingan 5000 penonton dengan lima puluh ribu, ditempat yang sama dan event organizer yang sama.
