Make Love to Me
Gannon Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

When you are lying, all on your own
You keep crying, but no where to go
You say why, do good men cry
You know why, you really hurt her this time
Maybe in the morning I'll be there
Watch you put on your make up, comb your hair
Say I love you, love you I do
Say I love you, it's true
Cause love, don't bring me down
Maybe I, wish upon a shooting star
And pray, that we can make it far
Close your eyes I'll be there, stroke your sweet hair
Hold your sweet hand, tell you I care
Cause love, don't bring me down
And I, want you
No matter what you do
And I'll burn your name

In the sand that you walk
In the sand that you walk

One of Dylan's sweetest compositions and you Michael, have done it better justice than anyone I have heard do it to date. Yes, I like this better than even Billy Joel's version (the first to record it) because, in my opinion, this is song was really meant for the intimacy of guitar accompaniment. Kudos my friend. This is great work.
