He gained notoriety for his performances on the 2007 X-Factor series, were he performed well to reach the last 12 of the Over ‘25s’ category, where each of his performances were featured on the show. This culminated in his involvement reaching a dramatic conclusion as the selections for Judges houses were made.
Gavin used the experience to his advantage and embarked on the writing and recording of his first album ‘Pictures in my Mind’, recorded at Orangepeel Studios in Manchester by musician and producer Jasper Wilkinson. The project has taken around 2 years to complete and being released in October 2009
