Robots
I'm so electric
Can you feel me breath? (breath breath breath)
Set sail for the ocean
Baby, you and me (me me me)
Robots
I'm so electric
Set sail for the ocean
Baby, you and me (me me me me...)
Robots
Fill my sockets
As we're talking battery (battery battery battery)
Can't feel my emotions
Baby, I can't bleed (bleed bleed bleed)
Robots
I'm so electric
Can you feel me breath (breath breath breath)
Set sail for the ocean
Baby, you and me (me me me)
Through the darkness comes the light
Fill the ocean, fill the tide
No emotion, cannot fight
Break down the walls and comma... *glitchy*
Robots
The song "Robots" by Gemini, explores the idea of technology replacing human emotion and connection. The repetition of the word "robots" emphasizes the theme of numbness and lack of emotion in society. The line "I'm so electric, can you feel me breath?" highlights the paradoxical idea of being alive yet emotionless. The use of robotic imagery such as "fill my sockets" and "talking battery" demonstrates the replacement of human attributes with technology. The repetition of "set sail for the ocean, baby, you and me" suggests the dullness of life with technology, representing an unfulfilling substitute for connection.
The lyrics "through the darkness comes the light, fill the ocean, fill the tide, no emotion, cannot fight, break down the walls and comma... glitchy" illustrate the breaking down of technological barriers and regaining human emotion. The use of the word "glitchy" emphasizes the attempt to reconnect with humanity, which is not without difficulties or errors. The song's down tempo and atmospheric electronic beats amplify the theme of detachment.
