Genisys Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

So what, if I pull up on you
So what, if them hoes mad too
So what, we can be the one too
Sheesh
She say this her anthem, hop out the Bentley, hop up in the Phantom
Shawty wanna skrt, but her friends wanna twerk
Bad lil mama like a savage, she Rihanna, huh
So what, if I pull up on you
So what, if them hoes mad too
So what, we can be the one too
You can name whatever you want, girl
You can name whatever you need, girl
So what, if I pull up on you
So what, if them hoes mad too
So what, we can be the one too
Tell me what you like, pull up to your side
Baby, you the one and I can be the two
Lil mama bad like Kydashia
She ain't basic, shawty with the action
Woo
And I know she wanna slide, she the type to bite
Shawty wanna fight, know she down to ride
Pull up on me baby, know I got you baby
Slide on me, whatever time
We can hit a lick, baby I do the crime
Hold you down for the ride, just know a nigga slide
(Oh)
Slide on me, whatever time
We can hit a lick, baby I do the crime
Hold you down for the ride, just know a nigga slide
(Oh)
She say this her anthem, hop out the Bentley, hop up in the Phantom
Shawty wanna skrt, but her friends wanna twerk
Bad lil mama like a savage, she Rihanna, huh
So what, if I pull up on you
So what, if them hoes mad too
So what, we can be the one too
You can name whatever you want, girl
You can name whatever you need, girl
So what, if I pull up on you

So what, if them hoes mad too
So what, we can be the one too

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Genisys's song "So What" seem to revolve around themes of confidence, assertiveness, and independence in relationships. The singer appears unbothered by the reactions of others and is focused on pursuing what they want. The recurring line "So what" suggests a dismissive attitude towards external opinions or judgments, emphasizing a sense of self-assurance.

The mention of pulling up on someone, regardless of others' reactions, indicates a fearlessness and willingness to make bold moves. The lyrics also touch on the dynamic between the singer and a woman they are interested in, with references to luxury cars like the Bentley and Phantom, symbolizing a lavish lifestyle and a sense of status.

The lyrics also mention the woman's friends wanting to have fun and party ("wanna twerk"), contrasting with the focus on the singer and the woman being a potential couple ("we can be the one too"). This suggests a desire for exclusivity and a special connection separate from external distractions or influences.

The references to loyalty ("hold you down for the ride") and willingness to take risks ("hit a lick, baby I do the crime") add layers to the narrative, showcasing a combination of affection, protectiveness, and a readiness to go to extremes for the person they care about. Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of bravado, desire for intimacy, and a refusal to be swayed by outside opinions or obstacles.

@Gadget-Walkmen Man , there are goofy looking cartoons that have some of the most epic storylines or arcs like you wouldn't believe .

Like the Gummibears . A show about small talking bears who can jump around like a bouncy ball when they drink a potion ?

Even as a kid the concept was silly to me but when I watched it I was kinda stunned by the variety and the creativity of the stories.

It's set in medieval times where alongside humans there lived a race of intelligent bears who had their own civilization that was much more advanced than the humans . Because of conflict with humans the entire race decided to move far away to some undisclosed location and the story is about the few Gummibears that for whatever reason stayed behind and are now trying to survive in a abandoned underground burrow the size of a city.

Occasionally they have to deal with the human kingdom nearby , have to fix their steampunk technology or preventing it falling into bad hands , bad guys (though thats a oversimplification) , magic mishaps and all sorts of adventures .

What's really impressive about it is that a huge part of the show is about fleshing out this civilization of intelligent bears whether culture , technology or their history .

Made for kids ? Sure .

Also made with the assumption that kids actually have brains .

No fart jokes here .

Maybe they could have done this: Place Sarah and the Terminator as the protagonists with the current mission of stopping Skynet to be created in the year they are placed at, and this information is given by the Terminator accompaning Sarah. The current threat would be the T-1000, either in the form of that cop, or in the form of John Connor, which could give Sarah the feeling that, if she doesn't stop Skynet from being created and causing the destruction in the future, her heritage, her son from the future, would live in a terrible place, or even being used to attempt to eliminate her in the past. Then they could introduce us to the character that was sent, to the past at the beginning of the movie, functioning as one key to take down Skynet, a way Sarah and the Terminator haven't figured out, and he could work to counterstrike the feeling of decay that Sarah has if the T-1000 was her actual son from the future, giving her hope that the future can still be bright if she doesn't fail in her mission.
