History
Originating in Orlando, Florida, the band was founded by lead singer Gen while attending pre-med. Originally called The Festering Genitorturers, the band consisted of Marisa (vocals), Yvonne (guitar), Gen (bass), Larry (guitar) and Mike (drums). Their first performance was at the Ocean Club in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in late 1986. Also on the bill was Declared Ungovernable, Belching Penguins, and The Rhythm Pigs. Shortening their name to The Genitorturers, the band underwent various personnel changes and progressed in the 1990s Florida "hardcore" music scene, with contemporary bands such as Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, who would also become a success in later years. According to the band's official biography, "What emerged would be a band that would go beyond shaking up the house that 'Mickey' built and extend to paving the way and breaking ground for performance based music artists thereafter worldwide".
In 1993, IRS Records owner Miles Copeland III sent his assistant Nick Turner (former drummer for The Lords of the New Church) to see the band perform. The quality of the performance, as well as their musical style containing fused elements of hardcore punk, metal and industrial electronics, led them to a record contract. Soon after that, they would record 120 Days of Genitorture. After recording this album, Morbid Angel bassist/vocalist David Vincent (Gen's husband) joined the Genitorturers on bass. He left Morbid Angel in 1995, after the album Domination, to join his wife's band.
The band has extensively toured the United States, Japan, and Europe, and is internationally renowned for its exploits, pornographic show content.
By the time of their second album Sin City in 1998, Genitorturers had gained a notable reputation with their flamboyant BDSM-themed shows resulting in the band appearing in various television features in the USA; including VH1, Fox News, Hard Copy, HBO's Real Sex and Playboy TV's Sexcetera.
The Flesh is the Law EP includes the track "Lecher Bitch", which was also included in the November 2004 video game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. Earlier releases included Machine Love, which contains a cover of Divinyls' hit "I Touch Myself", which was produced by Dave Ogilvie and Rob Zombie producer Scott Humphrey.
In 2004, Genitorturers featured in a 12 page spread in the monthly pornographic publication Hustler, the magazine's only multi-page spread with a rock band. Hustler described Genitorturers as "the world's sexiest band".
In 2006, they toured Australia with Dead Inside the Chrysalis. In the autumn of 2007, they released their live DVD Live in Sin, also selling autographed copies on eBay.
The band's last album, Blackheart Revolution, was released in 2009. In 2014, Genitorturers celebrated over 20 years since the release of their debut album by going on tour, '20 Years of Depravity'.

One Who Feeds
Genitorturers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Nurse your growing hunger for the fluid that will satisfy
Feel my body swelling, engorged to overflow
Pump your filthy mouths into your willing guts below
Shake!
When you're feeling empty, feeling oh so low
Nurse upon my body, bask in the warm womb glow
Can you feel my body swelling? Engorged to overflow
Now you shake until your master calls you
Shake until your mother bleeds
Shake until the fluid calms you
Till you suckle form the one who feeds
Filling the void inside you, toasty warm it's oh so nice
Seeking worldly pleasure, mother's milks not your only vice
Can you feel my body swelling? Engorged to overflow
Pump your filthy mouths into your willing guts below
Now you shake until our master calls you
Shake until your mother bleeds
Shake until the fluid calms you
Still you suckle from the one who feeds
Lying here beside me, take it all from my body
Oh, don't try to crawl back inside, from where you came
The lyrics to the Genitorturers' "One Who Feeds" are disturbing and unsettling, and they seem to be dealing with themes of control, addiction, and subservience. The opening lines suggest a maternal bond, but one that is twisted and unhealthy. The singer is "bonded" to her listeners' "breast," which she uses to "purify" them. They are urged to "nurse" on her body and satisfy their "growing hunger" with her "fluid" until they are "engorged to overflow" and their "filthy mouths" are "pump[ed]" into their "willing guts below." The imagery is sexual and grotesque, suggesting a kind of symbiotic relationship between the singer and her listeners, in which they are both dependent on each other in twisted and unhealthy ways.
As the song progresses, there is a sense that the listeners are being coerced into their subservience. They are feeling "empty" and "oh so low," and they seek relief by suckling on the singer's body. There is a sense that they are addicted to this experience, that they crave the "toasty warm" feeling of being filled up by the singer's milk. But they are not just addicted to the physical sensation; they are also seeking "worldly pleasure" and using the milk as a means of escape from their problems. The repeated refrain of "Now you shake until your master calls you" suggests that they are not acting of their own free will, but are being controlled by someone else, perhaps the singer or a master who has taken control of them. In the end, the singer urges them to "take it all from my body" and to not try to crawl back inside "from where you came." The implication is that they are trapped in this twisted relationship and cannot escape.
Overall, the lyrics to "One Who Feeds" are disturbing and unsettling, filled with sexual and grotesque imagery that suggests a twisted and unhealthy relationship between the singer and her listeners. There is a sense that they are trapped in their addiction and subservience, and that they are being controlled by someone else. The song raises uncomfortable questions about power, control, addiction, and the nature of relationships, and it leaves the listener with a sense of unease and disgust.
