They signed to Atlantic Records in September 2006 and released their debut album "The world is outside" on June 4th, 2007. Ghosts have played in the U.K. at V Festival in Staffordshire and Chelmsford. They were busy writing and recording their second album in a Swedish island of Marstrand however nothing became of it. However on 17th February 2011 they released 2 demos and a press release about their reforming, through myspace (ghostsuk).

But if I could explain myself, you know I wouldn’t dare
To do something that would hurt you
I’m not sure exactly what I’m supposed to do
I can’t tell just what I should do
I’ll never get why you’re mad at me
I don’t know just what I said, but I’m trying to make it right
I’ll do everything I can, but I don’t have all night
Who could be right for you girl, I’ll have to let you go
I’m a good man who, can’t do right by you
Every time I turn around there’s something else I should do
Why you trying to change me
I didn’t realize I supposed to be just like you
I’m not ever gonna be just like you
I’ll never get why you’re mad at me
I don’t know just what I said, but I’m trying to make it right
I’ll do everything I can but I don’t have all night
I’ll give you everything and if that ain’t enough then I don’t know
Who could be right for you girl, I’ll have to let you go
I don’t know just what I said, but I’m trying to make it right
I’ll do everything I can but I don’t have all night
I’ll give you everything and if that ain’t enough then I don’t know
Who could be right for you girl, I’ll have to let you go
I don’t know just what I said, but I’m trying to make it right
I’ll do everything I can but I don’t have all night
I’ll give you everything and if that ain’t enough then I don’t know
Who could be right for you girl, I’ll have to let you go
I’ll have to let you go, I’ll have to let you go
Who could be right for you girl, I’ll have to let you go
In the song "Watching You Go" by Ghosts, the lyrics explore a sense of confusion and remorse in a relationship. The singer acknowledges that they might appear to be indifferent or uncaring, but they express a desire to explain themselves, even though they are afraid to do so. This suggests that there may be a fear of confrontation or a fear of saying something that could potentially hurt the other person.
The singer seems uncertain about the actions they should take to resolve the situation. They express confusion and admit that they don't fully understand why the other person is angry with them. This highlights a lack of communication or a misunderstanding between the two individuals. Despite this uncertainty, the singer is determined to make things right, willing to do anything they can to fix the situation.
However, the singer also expresses a sense of frustration. They feel as though they are constantly being told to change and be more like the other person. This reveals a clash in personalities or expectations within the relationship. While the singer acknowledges their limitations in being able to meet these expectations, they also assert their independence and state that they cannot be exactly like the other person.
Ultimately, the chorus of the song emphasizes the singer's willingness to give their all in the relationship. They promise to provide everything they have, but if that is not enough, they understand that they may have to let go and accept that someone else may be better suited for the other person. This suggests a mature realization that sometimes letting go is necessary for the happiness and fulfillment of both individuals involved.
