She released her first single "Hit Me Up" in November of 2006, which also appears on the Happy Feet Soundtrack. Her self-titled debut album was released in August 2007.

For the 2006 holiday season, Gia's song "Christmas Everyday" was released on the Make-A-Wish Holiday CD sold at Bath & Body Works being the only new artist on the CD with such acclaimed artists as The Pussycat Dolls, Mary J. Blige, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire and Rob Thomas.

There were a few random times when that used to happen to me. But with me, it was the pink panther theme. I hated it when that music got stuck in my head. It was super annoying.
