After months of toiling in the studio and on the road, they were ready to let people into their world of dark and gloomy love. The first step in that process was to release their first EP, "Bloody Game", which saw light October 12th 2009. The girls mixed the EP with the notable electronic producer Thomas Barfod, with whom they have been working to create a balance between pop and avant-garde, male and female energy, the organic and the industrial, and the past and the future.
In 2009 - before having any releases to their credit - Giana Factory toured Scandinavia, Germany and all around Denmark, playing shows at SPOT Festival and Roskilde Festival, as well as supporting Glasvegas on tour. Their debut album "Save The Youth" was released in 2010. After the release of their second album, "Lemon Moon" in 2014, Giana Factory disbanded.

so she tries to find the same colour shoe
Tuesday is fake so she stays in her bed
with a lipstick she paints a smile big and red
[x4] Rainbow girl rainbow girl
Wedensday she feels lack of hope
Thursday she feels down and mellow
this dress shows her chest it's so fine and it's yellow
Friday it's the peak of the week
in the mirror rehearsals of being discreet
Saturday she's dancing around with grace
Sunday black mascara is running down her face
[x5] Rainbow girl rainbow girl
every day of the week rainbow girl
rainbow girl rainbow girl
everyday she is so weak rainbow girl
rainbow girl rainbow girl
it rains with tears on her cheek rainbow girl
rainbow girl rainbow girl
Rainbow rainbow girl...
The song "Rainbow Girl" by Giana Factory talks about a girl who is struggling with her emotions throughout each day of the week. On Monday, she feels sad and tries to find a shoe of the same color to match her mood. On Tuesday, she stays in bed and paints a big red smile on her lips to hide her fake emotions. Wednesday is all about hopelessness and trying to wash away her depression with soap. Thursday is a down day, but her fine yellow dress brings some sunshine into her life. Friday is the peak of the week and she rehearses being discreet in front of the mirror. Saturday is a day of grace and dancing, but Sunday brings black mascara running down her face as it rains with tears on her cheeks.
The lyrics show the struggle of someone who seems to be putting on a facade to mask her true emotions. The use of colors and different activities for each day of the week speaks to the complexity of her emotions and the coping mechanisms she uses to get through each day. The repetition of "rainbow girl" throughout the song reinforces the struggle she faces every day and how she has to put on a facade to appear as a different color each day.
Overall, "Rainbow Girl" is a poignant reflection on the emotional struggles that many people face on a daily basis. It highlights the importance of understanding and acknowledging our own feelings as well as those of others.
