Morning Light
Girls (Rock) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Meet me in the morning light
We know it won't last forever
Wear it out while it feels right
We know that it's now or never
Meet me in the sky tonight
We could fly away together
Maybe if we try it right
We could make our love forever

Effortless shoegaze revivalism.

I wish they'd made a whole record like this.

@thisissoosarah

@troglytrogly

rock on!!! marvelous band!

@steves2ndaccount

Listen to their entire album before judging them based off one song. They're diverse with genre; you could literally hear inspiration from genres throughout the decades (folk, whatever Zeppelin was, garage rock, soul, surf rock, and so on). In this case, the song somewhat fuses 2 different types of 90's alt rock (a shoegaze tune sandwiched between abrasive, Sonic Youth-like riffs). Sounds a lot like "Mote" off of SY's Goo, but no complaints here.

@musin379

Dont even care I can't comprehend the lyrics. The tone clearly sets the mood and I love it.

Ten seconds into the video / song, and the audience for this band is immediately identifiable.
