There Is Hope
Glad Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

World of broken promises
Where the faithful are chosen and few
Where men of valor are vanishing
What can you do

When commitments are crumbling around us
And life shed for years for the lost [?]
Do we have any hope of completing
This race that we start

Yes there is hope for the old and weary
There is hope for the newly begun
There is power and strength to be found in the grace of our Lord
For everyone

And the best of us fall short of goodness
And our pride always gets in our way
Do we have any hope we'll keep promises we've made today

There is hope for the old and weary
There is hope for the newly begun
There is power and strength to be found in the grace of our Lord
For everyone

There is only one God of us all [?]
And it's by His will we rise up or fall
In the strength of His grace, we will finish the race
Fixing our eyes upon Jesus
Fixing our eyes upon Jesus
Fixing our eyes upon Jesus

There is hope for the old and weary
There is hope for the newly begun
There is power and strength to be found in the grace of our Lord
Of our Lord

Yes! there's hope for the old and weary
There is hope for the newly begun
There is power and strength to be found in the grace of our Lord

Of our Lord
For everyone

I Love this song also. It's certainly a fave of mine. I heard it a few days ago on this Christian Radio Station that is in the city. They play too much of the newer stuff, but the music program director is very fond of Glad, and I'm Glad about that!!! So, she plays Glad from time to time. Thank you for sharing this with us! God Bless!
