Glass Animals Lyrics

You know I'm talking now
You know I'm dancing
You know I'm racing 'round
No, no you're so juiced
You said you'd kick the booze
You know I'll get bruised
Come back, baby, don't you cry
Don't you drain those big blue eyes
I've been crawling
Come back, baby, don't you cry
Just you say the reason why
I can calm you
You say I'm bawling
I say I'm begging while
You take my photo
I fake my breaking smile
I'm fucking loco
I can't get through to you
You turn your nose, you
Spark up and I can go
Come back, baby, don't you cry
Don't you drain those big blue eyes
I've been crawling
Come back, baby, don't you cry
Just you say the reason why
I can calm you
In "Hazey" by Glass Animals, the singer addresses their lover, who is struggling with addiction. The opening lines, "Your baby's falling, you know I'm talking now," suggest that the singer is aware of the situation and is trying to communicate with their partner. The chorus, "Come back, baby, don't you cry, don't you drain those big blue eyes," shows the singer's concern and desire to help their partner while they struggle. The lyrics also acknowledge the difficulty of the situation, with lines like "You know I'll get bruised, you know I'm just a boy" and "I'm fucking loco, I can't get through to you."
The second verse expands on the singer's frustration and the struggle to connect with their partner. The line "I'm fucking loco, I can't get through to you" expresses the singer's sense of helplessness and inability to make a difference. The line "you turn your nose, you spark up and I can go" suggests that the partner is turning to drugs as a coping mechanism, which is causing a divide between them. The final chorus again pleads for the partner to come back and to communicate with the singer about what they need to heal.

Strange Music Inc Damn! Seeing Strange Music on the comments for a Glass Animal video was such a trip! Before this, I had been watching SM videos for like an hour and randomly decided to check out Glass Animals and saw SMI.

@TheYazmanian
When I first heard of Glass Animals, and this song in particular, I thought they had two vocalists: A male and a female. This guy's voice is unreal.
@mx.olydian2111
lol I thought the same thing, then I found out Dave Bagley just had the silkiest vocals
@TheYazmanian
For real! I was like "dang, this chick kinda sounds like Sade". Looked them up to see who all was in the band, and was surprised to see it was ONE vocalist. Needless to say I was shocked at what talent he has. Refreshing in a day where most music is just pathetic.
@mx.olydian2111
TheYazmanian I'm gonna Google Sade now, I'm a sucker for smooth vocals
