After high school, Glenn began recording demos and performing at nightclubs, eventually becoming a respected act in Toronto. He parlayed this success into the release of his first single, "The Thing To Do," in 1998 on Beat Factory/BMG. The song won him a Juno Award for Best R&B Recording. His second single, "Bout Your Love," earned him a Juno nomination.
This exposure eventually landed him a deal with Epic Records. Glenn's debut album, World Outside My Window, was released on March 19, 2002. Fueled by the hit single "Don't You Forget It," the album peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts. He promoted the album by touring with R&B singers Alicia Keys and Tweet, among others.
In 2002, Lewis recorded a cover version of "Superstition" for the tribute album, Conception: An Interpretation of Stevie Wonder's Songs. Glenn also makes a brief appearance in the 2002 film Maid in Manhattan starring Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes. He contributed the song "Fall Again" to the film's soundtrack. A concert DVD, Glenn Lewis Live, was released in 2003.
Glenn prepared his sophomore album, Back For More for release in 2003. The first single, also titled "Back For More," and featuring rapper Kardinal Offishall, was released to radio and a video began to air. Unexplicably, the album was pushed back, first to later in the year, then to 2004. It remains unreleased. In the meantime, Glenn netted a Grammy nomination for his contribution to Stanley Clarke's "Where Is The Love", a duet also featuring Amel Larrieux.
Glenn left Epic Records in 2005, and is currently signed to Underdog Entertainment. According to Glenn's MySpace page, a new album, Remember Me, will see release in the spring of 2007.

This Love
Glenn Lewis Lyrics

Trying to make it better
I recognize my pain
Things are getting harder
For us to be in this love
And my tears wash away my smile
And I'm drowning in my sorrow
I can't see my tomorrow
'Cause we are no longer in love
This love, your love, my love
It used to be our love
This love, your love, my love
It used to be our love, love, love
I've been blazed all day
Dreading confrontation
I've waited until now
For this conversation to take place
That we're wasting time
With this love, I'm trying to be nice
Don't want you to be a hater
We've had our beautiful sons
So we gotta be one, sooner or later
'Cause we've got so much more, than this love
This love, your love, my love
It used to be our love
This love, your love, my love
It used to be our love, love, love
Can we still be, can we still be friends?
It will all end in tears if we decide
To leave, but stay, I'm so confused
I cant go on this way, I just can't go on, on this way
This love, your love, my love
It used to be our love
This love, your love, our love
It used to be our love, love, love
What happened to my love baby?
Now we got to think about our sons
So now it's over babe, now it's over baby, babe
In Glenn Lewis's song "This Love", the artist is expressing that the love he once shared with his partner has faded, leading to tears and pain. He recognizes that their relationship has become harder and that they are wasting time. The artist also acknowledges that he has been avoiding confrontation but knows that they need to have a conversation about their future. He hopes that they can remain friends for the sake of their children but ultimately acknowledges that their love is over.
The lyrics describe the difficulties and complexities that can come with the end of a relationship. The artist is struggling with how to move forward and is feeling the weight of the emotions that come with a broken heart. The song also touches on the importance of finding a way to co-parent despite the end of the romantic relationship.
Overall, "This Love" is a heartfelt ballad about the challenges of letting go of a love that once defined your life. It's a reminder that sometimes the right choice is not the easiest one.
