aaay ay ay ay...
te vas porque te vas amor amor
si te quiero te quiero
si te quiero te quiero
ven por favor no te alejes mas
no te alejes mas si a tu lado quiero estar
no te alejes mas si a tu lado quiero estar
Si te amo te amo (ohh)
y te extra
ño más (ohh)
quédate a mi lado
no te alejes jamás (ohh)
The lyrics to Glory's song Te Vas are about a desperate plea for a lover not to leave. The refrain of "te vas porque te vas amor amor" roughly translates to "you're leaving because you're leaving, my love, my love" and captures the feeling of helplessness and confusion that often comes with the end of a relationship. The singer expresses a deep and sincere desire to be with their lover, singing "si te quiero te quiero" ("if I love you, I love you") repeatedly. This repetition highlights the intensity of their emotions and underscores the idea that there's nothing they wouldn't do to keep their lover from leaving.
Throughout the song, the singer's tone alternates between earnest and pleading, with the occasional note of resignation or despair. They sing "no te alejes mas si a tu lado quiero estar" ("don't leave anymore if I want to be by your side"), emphasizing the connection they feel with their lover and their fear of being alone. The final lines of the song, "si te amo te amo / y te extraño más / quédate a mi lado / no te alejes jamás" ("if I love you, I love you / and I miss you more / stay by my side / don't ever leave") are a final plea for the lover to choose love over departure, and cement the song's theme of holding onto love at all costs.
