Throughout their career, Gluecifer released five studio albums before disbanding in 2005, only to reunite in 2017.
Their album "Ridin' the Tiger" in 1997, released on the White Jazz record label, marked a significant breakthrough both artistically and commercially, positioning them among the leaders of the Scandinavian hard rock movement. "Basement Apes," their fourth album, signed with Sony Music, and "Automatic Thrill" became their best-selling record.
Gluecifer performed at notable events such as the 2004 Quart Festival, opening for Monster Magnet. However, the band announced their breakup in July 2005, despite being considered one of Norway's successful rock bands. Their impact extended beyond music, with contributions to the Norwegian film "Izzat," featuring their song "Desolate City" on the 2008 compilation album "Kings of Rock - Best Of And Rarities."
Following the breakup, members pursued individual projects, including Captain Poon forming the band Bloodlights in 2006. Gluecifer's music was also featured in the soundtrack of the film "The Social Network" with the song "Black Book Lodge." In 2015, Gluecifer's studio albums were re-released on Captain Poon's label, Konkurs Productions. The following year, Captain Poon toured as the guitarist for Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg. In 2017, Gluecifer reunited for several festival appearances in 2018 and reunion shows in Oslo.

Obi Damned Kenobi
Gluecifer Lyrics
Faded radiant knight of the lightsabre,
Now the battery's low
Motheaten , old and unable
You can feel the tumor grow
It's out there
And you're gonna have to take it on
To the battle of the atmosphere
Coz you don't know what's right from wrong
REF:
He's got a tumor, got a motorarm (motorarm)
And he's ridin' high (ridin' high)
Hes Obi Damned Kenobi (Damned Kenobi)
Old panther in the sky
Choises, the choises
They are eatin' you up innside
Got no parole from the sound of the voices
And you've got no place to hide
Coz it's hard
When the pieces don't seem to connect
It's a feeling of true defect
To the head of the inner sect
His arm is moving wildly on
Motoric disease, it's the same old song
And the battle of lightyears is going on
Yeah the war is going on, and on
And ononononononon…
REF:
He's got a tumor, got a motorarm (motorarm)
And he's ridin' high (ridin' high)
Hes Obi Damned Kenobi (Damned Kenobi)
Old panther in the sky
He rolls the dice of justice (dice of justice)
And his stakes are high (stakes are high)
He's Obi Damned Kenobi (Damned Kenobi)
Old panther in the sky…
Now the battery's low
