With their intensive vocals and rhythms the Gnawa musicians, playing nightly rituals, are able to bring varied audiences to trance, a state of open-mindedness, sometimes hypnotic then ecstatic.
In September 1998 the traditional Moroccan Gawa musicians Abdenbi Binizi, Samir Zgarhi and Majid Karadi met Jan-Claudius Rase and David Beck, both multi-instrumentalists of German origin.
Following time spent in the studio and a trip to Marrakech, the German musicians went on to mix traditional recordings with western club compositions. The " Living Remixes " concept was born.
Gnawa Impulse gave their first concert a year ago at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin in front of an enthousiastic crowd. Gnawa Impulse is today made up of six musicians who, between Marrakech and Berlin, pack in and compilations.
Gnawa musicians (Marrakech / Morocco)
Abdenbi Binizi - solo voice, percussion and drum
Kamal Ifir - voice, sintir (three-string bass lute) and dance
Samir Zgarhi - voice, Karkabas (metal castanets) and dance
The three Gnawa musicians are the founding members of Gnawa Halwa (ritual trance music and dance). This group came about through the collaboration of the Gnawa and the Spanish choreographer Blanca Li.
They were born and still live in the heart of their Gnawi brotherhood in Marrakech. Day to day life within this traditional brotherhood is interspersed with their European tours. The Gnawa Halwa are sought after musicians (collaborating with Randy Weston, Bill Laswell, Gnawa Diffusion) and are capable of sharing the warmth of African traditions with their public.
Gnawa Halwa have taken part in various international festivals: Montreux Festival, Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris, New Morning, Paris, UFA Fabrik, Berlin, Afrika Festival, W?rzburg, not forgetting Amsterdam, Den Haag, Madrid, Zagreb, Palermo, Frankfurt.

This video is incredible. Nostalgic is both the best and sad thing to experience I am a current arsenal speedrunner youtuber and looking back everything was just simply more fun and enjoyable. Nowadays devs and the community have arguments with each other and its just depressing. Everyone who played this throughout the years will never forget this fun game. Thank you... bungalow and those who worked on the game.

Im genuinely really glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels like this for arsenal, although I started playing the game near around 2019-2020, I liked it so much because of its simple and goofy charm. but now? arsenal feels like a completely different game, the weapon's sounds changed, the art style for the game changed, the newer skins kind of lost the simple charm and focus more on asethetics, which is natural but god damn, I will for sure miss that time period of arsenal and watching chaseroony and john roblox 24/7.
also you did an AMAZING job with this video, absolutely loved every part of it, nice work!

I started playing arsenal only back in 2020(understandably) when my brother introduced it to me, so i can’t exactly say this video applies to me, but clicking on a randomly recommended video did not disappoint.
Incredibly well written, very intriguing, and really entertaining.
With this level of video quality, i hope you get somewhere! :D

I loved this video. I still play arsenal a bit and I started in 2019. No matter how hard i try, how many times i change my settings or fov, or what locker presets I use, i can never replicate the enjoyment I had playing before and during summer update 2. I still hope arsenal continues to get updates and support and I hope that the game may one day rise again

amazing video, this was really nice and connecting, I also really love the style of your videos, where instead of an overwhelming amount of editing, you try to connect with the audience, keep it up man, u earned a sub!

surely did not expect to see you here lol

This video is absolutely amazing man. The calm voice makes it so much easier to listen to and its much better than some cringe youtubers you just shout in your face. Keep up the good work

The moment John Roblox said he's leaving Arsenal (or make less content about Arsenal) I knew Arsenal is dead. And what do you know? I join a random lobby and after a match or two everybody disbands and 3 or 4 people are left on the server.
This game didn't deserve such quick death :/

This video hits deep. I miss the older, more simple days of not only arsenal, but video games in general.. When I was younger, I didn't grind, I didn't worry about skins, or times, or K/D. I focused on having fun. I think this is just a phase that most of us will go through in our time on the internet. We have so much fun at first, and then we just end up chasing that first feeling of excitement by playing for hours on end, just to feel worse. I even see this with many established content creators, not just arsenal ones. I remember the old maps, the funky movement and how some of the guns we're just goofy (some still are). As we grow and develop, we gain and lose interest in different things and that's just part of life. Personal growth is not to be sad about, it's good to miss the good old days, that just shows how fast time flies and also makes us appreciate the time we are in now. Amazing tribute all around, bungalow!
