On June 20th 1995, Kausion's debut single, "What You Wanna Do?" featuring Ice Cube, was released and followed by their debut LP, South Central Los Skanless, on October 10th. Later on, they left Lench Mob Records due to disagreements with Ice Cube; they claimed to have been cheated out of their royalties.
Gonzoe went solo and signed with Death Row Records, which was at the time the most successful record label in the rap game and home to other rappers such as DJ Quik, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound.
In October 1995, the late Tupac Shakur also signed with Death Row Records. Gonzoe and Tupac would soon meet each other through their manager, Sharita Knight. They became friends, went on tour and recorded three songs together, including "Die" and "This Life I Lead."
Tupac gave Gonzoe the nickname Young Ritzy Outlaw. On September 7th, Tupac was shot four times in a drive-by-shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada after attending a boxing fight between Bruce Seldon and Mike Tyson. He was taken to the University Medical Center, where he died a week later at the age of 25.
After Tupac's death and the imprisonment of the record label's CEO, Suge Knight, the Death Row empire started crumbling. Like many other artists on the label, Gonzoe left.
In 1997, he formed a new group, The Regime, with his cousin, Late "Phats Bossi" Bankoudagda, Jerold "Yukmouth" Ellis, Keith "Madd Maxx" Walker and Kenneth "Poppa L.Q."
Gonzoe signed a solo record deal with Menes Music Group, whom released his solo debut LP, If I Live And Nothing Happens, on July 28th 1998. It featured the first single "Got It Made." On the intro of the LP, he was introduced as the newest member of the Outlawz, a group formed by Tupac before he died.
He later left both the Outlawz and The Rรจgime after falling out with both groups as a matter of "fucking each others' bitches," as Gonzoe described it in an interview with HitEmUp.com on December 3rd 2003. Their issues were later on sorted out and Gonzoe once again joined The Regime.
Gonzoe recorded 18 new songs for a second solo LP, but Menes Music Group refused to release it, because of economic problems. He left the record label and signed with Champeli Entertainment, where he recorded a third solo LP entitled Chasin' The Sun 2000. Neither this LP was released, which resulted in him leaving the label.
The future looks bright for Gonzoe. He is the proud father of his daughter named Khaelen. His new album, No Ice, is finally scheduled to be released this year by Fo' Sho Recordz, which is exclusively distributed by Image Entertainment. The first single is "I'm On Tilt."
No Ice features guest appearances from Cel and Kaydo from Kausion, Jayo Felony, Knoc-turn'al and Yukmouth and production by Jelly Roll and Kenny McCloud.
Gonzoe has also recently been in the studio with Crooked I and Eastwood from Death Row Records. He has recorded a song calling out multi-platinum rapper 50 Cent, who Gonzoe feels is a fake gangster.
Following the release of No Ice, Yukmouth's Smoke-A-Lot Records is scheduled to release The Regime's debut album, Regime Life. Gonzoe also plans on releasing Grown Folks Music exclusively on StreetHop.com. He'll also release a new mixtape every second month exclusively for purchase on StreetHop.com.

[Chorus: x1]
Have heart, have money. (yeah!)
Don't live the moment.

(nigga what?!)
[Verse 2: Phats Bossalini]
I got it planned out
day by day clutchin my fifth
confident
realizin I've sinned
that's why I'm bent
cash spent
I make a mill I know that it's meant
captured
a bubble Benz and the saga begins
cuz it was evident
that I was made for this
stay awake at night crave
now I'm paid for this
still we ain't shit
a hundred thousand ain't rich
I take a chip
flip a grip and multiply it by six
it's fabulous
to all the thugs that smashed for us
celebrate
live it up
and have a blast for us
losin focus
back to the dream to face the soldiers
cuz they know what nobody knows, I got composure
but I'm still drunk
beggin for funk
I know the Town will bust
live it up, keepin my trust
juss check the scriptures
it's me and Ritzy
live, direct on your T.V.

nigga C'est La Vie.

[Chorus x1]
[Verse 3: Gonzoe]
I'm still glocked up
in a under bucket wit my seat belt on

Uh!
Take the rap money, buy the soft turn the heart home
first they little niggas
now they servin out the front yard

cuz they enemy got took out
told the accountant to bring the book out
gun man rockin the roof, wit the gages

GONZOE LYRICS

The song "C'est La Vie" by Gonzoe featuring Phats Bossalini is an introspective track about living life to the fullest without any inhibitions or regrets. Gonzoe starts the song by saying "Que sera, sera" which translates to "whatever will be, will be", a French phrase meaning that the future is unpredictable and one should just accept it. In the first verse, Gonzoe talks about his risky lifestyle of driving without a license and living in the moment while constantly being haunted by his past. However, he accepts his fate and makes the most of his life by doing what he wants and having a good time.
Phats Bossalini continues the theme of the song in the second verse, talking about how he has a plan for his life and is taking it day by day. He acknowledges that he has sinned but accepts it and moves on, enjoying his life and making the most of his money. He warns against losing focus and facing his enemies head-on, but ultimately, he's just trying to have a good time.
Overall, "C'est La Vie" is a song that encourages listeners to live their lives to the fullest and embrace the chaos and unpredictability of life. It's about not holding back and doing what makes you happy, even if it's risky or unconventional.

I'm driving fast once again, without a license, in my new car. Even though I know it's risky, I'm addicted to it. I am living for the moment, trying to make some money to feed myself. I will live my life to the fullest until my last breath. Enjoying every single minute, with Phats by my side. No one should move until we finish our drinks. I am the boss of the Regime Family, and we drive down Florence without stopping. The world is moving in slow motion, influenced by the ocean. Drugs keep me happy, and I am enjoying life to the fullest. Nothing beats the pleasure of sex, and I have doubled my success since yours got caught. Let's drink and have a toast, and enjoy life to the fullest.

I have planned everything out day by day, with my liquor by my side. I am confident about my success, even though I know I have sinned. Money comes and goes, but I know I am destined to be a millionaire, and drive a luxurious car. I live my life to the fullest because I know I was made for this. I crave success, and now that I have it, we are still nothing because even a hundred thousand is not enough. With a little investment, I have multiplied my earnings by six. Cheers to all the thugs who helped us get here. Let's celebrate and party all night. However, I am losing my focus, and I have to get back to my dream and face my enemies. Even though they don't know, I have composure. But, I am still drunk and want to party. I know this town will bust open when I arrive, and I will live it up while keeping my trust. Let's smoke together and approve of my life. That's life can be!

I'm still in jail under arrest, but at least I am wearing a seatbelt. Nine zones have been locked up due to my crime. I used my rap money to buy a hideout where I can stay. From being a petty criminal, now we are dealing out the front yard, with a lookout. We do this because we have to roam around, with our enemies looking for us. I told my accountant to show my accounts because I have nothing to hide. Gunmen are guarding the rooftop with their weapons. Although I have cases against me, they are just charging me with a slap on the wrist. When it comes to partying and enjoying my life, I am always drunk, trying to have some fun. I have a collection of stories to tell, and I never share them with others. If there is a liquor store opening, all of you are in trouble because that's where we will be. I am fearless and will grab my nuts when I am challenged. I know my crew has my back, and I am not afraid to show it. Let's have some fun and enjoy life. That's Life!
Have heart, have money. (please be smart!)
Don't live the moment.
Have a toast on me, if you're smart.
This is for my homies.
It's important to have heart and money, but please be smart about it. Don't live only for the moment, think of the future. Let's drink together and have a toast, but please be smart about it. This song is dedicated to all of my homies out there.
