After guitarist Tyler Baker received the devastating news that his brother, PFC Shane Baker, had been in a fatal car accident while on leave, his cousins Brandon Qualkenbush and Landon Milbourn traveled to southern Indiana and immediately began writing songs to cope with the tragedy. Eventually named Goodbye June in memory of their loss, the trio packed up and moved to Nashville and it's emerging rock scene.
Since the release of their first album "Nor The Wild Music Flow," Goodbye June has solidified their reputation as a hair-raising live act and toured extensively throughout Europe, the Southeast and Midwest including shows at Live On The Green and the Forecastle, Midpoint and Red River Revel music festivals. They have been the featured "artist of the week" at WRLT (Lightning 100), resulting in spins on "Daisy" from their forthcoming album. The song recently won the international Unsigned Only grand prize beating out 8,000 other entries.
Goodbye June continues to put the finishing touches on their sophomore album with Grammy-nominated producer Paul Moak and will embark on a Fall tour with ZZ Top and Blackberry Smoke. The band is fired up about their future, "we want our album and touring to showcase our grit and soul by focusing on straight up rock 'n roll."

I bet they see me walking back for more
I gotta wild idea, maybe, a wild idea
So come a little closer you got nothing to fear
You step away, I scream your name
Can't nothing save you, lady
You drive me crazy, Daisy
Oh, come kill me right, baby
You drive me crazy
I kept you late in my father's car
Tight and close and we went too far
But I'm wild, but sober, baby, clear as a bell
If your lips are the devil, then I'm going to hell
You step away, I scream your name
Can't nothing save you, lady
You drive me crazy, Daisy
My beating heart, your shaking hips
Oh, come kill me right, baby
You drive me crazy
You step away, I scream your name
Can't nothing save you, lady
You drive me crazy, Daisy
My beating heart, your shaking hips
Oh, come kill me right, baby
You drive me crazy
The opening lines of "Daisy" by Goodbye June set the tone for the rest of the song. The lyrics suggest that there is some gossip going around about the singer and the woman he addresses as "Daisy." He implies that everyone is talking behind closed doors about them, but despite this, he keeps returning to her. He then suggests that he has a wild idea and that Daisy should come closer to him. There is a sense of danger and risk taking throughout the song, as he seems to be attracted to Daisy's wild and unpredictable nature.
The chorus of the song is repetitive, with the line "You drive me crazy, Daisy" being repeated several times. This serves to underline the singer's obsession with Daisy and his inability to stay away from her. The second verse suggests that he has done something scandalous with Daisy in his father's car. He acknowledges doing something reckless, but maintains that he is clear-headed and knows what he is doing. He says that if he goes to hell for being with Daisy, then so be it.
Overall, "Daisy" is a song about infatuation and desire that borders on obsession. The singer is drawn to a woman who seems to be just as wild and daring as he is, and their attraction seems to be fueled by a sense of danger and recklessness.
