Their 2010 self-titled Grace Potter and The Nocturnals was followed by The Lion The Beast The Beat in 2012.
Leading the charge is 25-year-old Grace Potter whose dynamic vocal ability has drawn comparisons to legends Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin and more recently Sheryl Crow and Joan Osborne. Her unique style behind the Hammond B-3 and piano is also gaining widespread recognition. The original lineup included Scott Tournet (guitar/slide guitar), Matthew Burr (drums/percussion), and Bryan Dondero (upright/electric bass). After Dondero parted ways with the Nocturnals in March 2009, they brought in Catherine Popper (bass) and also added Benny Yurco (rhythm guitar).
They have toured with national acts such as Taj Mahal, Trey Anastasio, Dave Matthews Band, The Black Crowes, Derek Trucks, Gov't Mule, Robert Cray, and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.

I love Grace Potter. :) Love this song.. doesn't matter if it's almost 10 years old. it's still awesome. i have her entire library. She is one of the most unknown American treasures. She's gorgeous and has a look that just draws you in. I can listen to her all day.

I just got to see this group tonight in Atlanta, and they kicked some major ass. They were alot better live than on the video's I've seen them play in. Everyone in the croud were knocked out by how good she sang, and how good this band is. That drummer is like the Energizer bunny, he never stopped rocking the whole hour they were on stage.

Saw them back in December. Had only seen a few videos a friend has sent me links to. One of the best shows I have seen in recent years and very affordable ($15, plus ticket charges of $7.50). They blew me away. Would easily spend 3 times that to see them again (not that I want ticket prices to go up).

I love seeing and hearing her perform live, she just lets go, you can tell she feels the music and every lyric she sings. and i absolutely love her voice, especially when she makes the little squeal noices haha. its just refreshing seeing a performer actually perform and get lost in their own music.
