In more than a decade of work, the band has already released six studio albums. After participating in several expressive music festivals in the country, in 2012 Graveola made its first international tour, passing through several countries in Europe, in the same year it was nominated for the Brazilian Music Award in the category "Best Group".
In 2015 the band recorded the EP London Bridge, with four tracks and an intro. The work was recorded in London in two days, live, during a tour of Europe. Produced by the Mais Um Discos label, the EP is marked by a new lineup of the group, very close to the current lineup, with the arrival of Gabriel Bruce, Luiza Brina and Ygor Rajão, in addition to the veterans Luiz Gabriel Lopes, José Luiz Braga and Bruno de Oliveira. In 2016 they released Camaleão Borboleta, the sixth work of the band that is now called just Graveola. The disc is composed of 10 tracks produced by Chico Neves, generated throughout 2015. The track "Talismã" was recorded with Samuel Rosa. According to the members of the group, on this album they are more tropicalist than ever with direct references to Afro-Brazilian rhythms and a Latin tone.
Some names that have performed with the band are Tom Zé, Emicida, O Terno, Gaby Amarantos and Jards Macalé, either sharing the stage or playing together. In addition they have collaborations with Samuel Rosa, Octavio Cardozzo and Uyara Torrente, lead singer of A Banda Mais Bonita da Cidade.

o mar espanha o mar
imenso dos meus mares, ares dos desejos
desde os tempos de eu só
aurora, ai que me muero
que me acabo en esta noche de ronda
quando recuerdo las tristes canciones
o mar explode o mar me arranha
nos ávidos desejos
na aridez concreta da torre
de onde lança teus cabelos
tranças longas
de desprezo
ai ai ai ai ai aurora
ai que me muero
se no te cubro el cuerpo de besos
The lyrics to Graveola's song "Aurora" convey a sense of longing and desire, with references to the sea and the night. The opening lines, "o mar explode, o mar espanha o mar" can be interpreted as the explosive and overwhelming nature of the sea. It represents the vastness of the singer's desires and wishes. The phrase "imenso dos meus mares, ares dos desejos" further emphasizes the magnitude of these desires.
The lyrics continue to express the longing and nostalgia of the singer, recalling sad songs and reminiscing about past times when they were alone. The repetition of the name "Aurora" throughout the song adds to the emotional intensity, as if calling out for this person or this feeling to come and save them. The line "quando recuerdo las tristes canciones" suggests that the memories of past heartbreaks and sorrows haunt the singer.
The second verse introduces a sense of frustration and discontentment, with the line "nesse tardio tédio o mar espanha" implying that the sea becomes tiresome and suffocating. The repetition of "o mar" in conjunction with words like "explode" and "arranha" convey a feeling of restlessness and agitation. The lyrics shift to a more intimate tone with the lines "ai ai ai ai ai aurora, ai que me muero, se no te cubro el cuerpo de besos" which can be translated as "oh Aurora, I am dying if I don't cover your body with kisses." This line reinforces the intense longing for physical and emotional connection.
Overall, the lyrics of "Aurora" by Graveola explore themes of desire, longing, nostalgia, and frustration. The sea is used as a metaphor to represent the magnitude of the singer's desires, while the name "Aurora" symbolizes hope and salvation.
