Vedran F. and Gordan Š. met in a small town near Croatian capitol where they both live. At that time they played in separate bands, but after both bands fell apart, they made a band together. At that time, it was a cover band but the basis for Gregor S. was made. Few years after, the band fell apart due to lack of time, but Vedran and Gordan remained playing together rather casually. The news was that they started making their own music.
Somewhere around that time, Vedran met Matija S. - a drummer from his high school with whom he talked mostly about music and drugs, so he became acquainted with the music Vedran and Gordan made. That year, their high school was organizing a school concert and both Matija and Vedran wanted to play, so they agreed to make a band with Gordan and Matija's friend Ognjen on bass guitar. The band was made and the gig was played under the name B.B.K. (no one remembers what the acronym means) and that without a single rehearsal. Nevertheless, it went surprisingly good and they decided to play together.
The next step was to make up a name for the band because B.B.K. was a temporary name and had no sense. One friday evening, under the influence of fatigue and cheap wine, Gordan, seemingly without a cause, said the name of Metamorphosis' main character 'Gregor Samsa' and Vedran replied that it would make a good name for a band. Later on, after a few gigs, they realized the name 'Gregor Samsa' was already taken by an American post-rock band and a Croatian 80's punk band so they changed it to 'Gregor S.'.
Gregor S. made a demo recording somewhere in late 2005. It turned out rather bad because it was made in a hurry and with improvised equipment but it caught the post-punk atmosphere of the band. Due to the bad quality of the recording and some personal preoccupations, Gregor S. felt demoralized and paused for almost a year.
During that year, Matija started to play percussions in a few reggae/dub bands, Vedran started to create experimental music under the name of Un Genou, and Gordan remained writing songs for Gregor S.
After the pause, the number of members of Gregor S. decreased by one. Bassist Ognjen L. decided to leave the band and Gregor S. became a trio without the bass.
The band recorded another demo recording in late autumn of 2007 consisting of 8 songs.
Eventually, the band got another bassist, Vinko B., and finally stopped playing sometime in 2012.

The first verse of the song talks about the times when the singer and the person they love are apart. The lyrics tell us how they live in different time zones, but they still have moments when they are in the same place, sharing the same space.
