The Groovie Ghoulies were a punk rock'n'roll band from Sacramento, California consisting of Kepi, Roach, and Scampi. They were around for many years and committed themselves to being constantly, dedicatedly touring the world spreading Ghoulish Love. They broke up in May of 2007.
Every show is treated as an event. Since 1997 they have done 7 U.S. tours, 2 Canadian tour, and 3 European tours.
Beyond their B-movie, rock, and punk influences, the Ghoulies make the most of the touring life. They have forsaken the tired rock stereotypes of drugs and self-destruction to go to Mount Rushmore, Graceland, Roswell, or hang out with other bands.
Although it's nothing like a Kiss or Rob Zombie show, the Ghoulies decorate the stage with a few toys and things to provide themselves and the crowd a level of comfort and familiarity. Prizes are often thrown, requests are often taken.

Bring Her Back
Groovie Ghoulies Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But here's the game that I must play
I don't wish to participate
But in this matter I've no say
You see some rich guy took my baby
And he blinded her with diamond rings
Now the pain such that my heart stings
If only I had been much kinder
I do not have a lot of money
This I thought she understood
I know the young girls can be led away
By pretty things and pet desires
Now I must go and bring her back
And quench this newly kindled fire
Well I'm down to my last dollar
But I'm gonna find her anyway
I thought I saw her goin' east
While headin' west yesterday
Perhaps she's come back to her senses
And decided to come back to stay
Now I must go and bring her back
If it takes until my dyin' day
Bring her back
Bring her back
Bring her back
Bring her back
Bring her back
Bring her back
Now I must go and bring her back
If it takes until my dyin' day
Now I must go and bring her back
If it takes until my dyin' day
In Groovie Ghoulies's song Bring Her Back, the singer narrates the story of a woman who has been taken away by a rich man who blinded her with diamond rings. The singer regrets not being kinder to her when she was still with him and not having enough money to compete with the rich man's lavish gifts. He knows that young women can be easily influenced by material things, but now he is determined to bring her back and put out the fire that burns in his heart. He is down to his last dollar, but he will find her even if it takes until his dying day.
The lyrics convey a sense of urgency and desperation, as the singer is willing to do whatever it takes to bring his beloved back. He recognizes the power of money and how it can influence people's decisions, but at the same time, he also acknowledges his responsibility in the situation. He wishes he had been kinder to his girlfriend and showed her more appreciation, but now he is determined to make things right.
Overall, Bring Her Back is a heartfelt song that touches upon themes of love, regret, and determination. The lyrics are simple yet powerful, and the melody adds to the emotional impact of the song. It is a timeless classic that has resonated with listeners for years.
