Oh, I didn't know where I am and where I have been
What we had, we had it baby
I don't want to tell you maybe
You know it's just like so
All that I can tell you is a no, no, no
Well, I don't know where to go
You know you put me in a rusty cage
Of jealousy and rage
And who's to blame it's all the same
It's plain to see you're not good to me
All I can tell you before I go
It's a no, no, no, no
I can't believe how did you get so under my skin
I didn't know where I am and where I have been
What we had, we had it baby
I don't want to tell you maybe
You know it's just like so
All that I can tell you is a no, no
I don't know where to go
In any direction, I feel so low
You know you put me in a rusty cage
Of jealousy and rage
And who's to blame it's all the same
It's plain to see you're not good to me
All I can tell you before I go
It's a no, no, no, no
The lyrics to Gruhak's song "No No No" paint a picture of a person who is struggling to come to terms with their emotions after a failed relationship. The singer starts by expressing disbelief at how the other person managed to get under their skin so completely. They feel lost and unsure of where they stand after the breakup, as if they have been walking in a fog. The singer then talks about the relationship they had and how they don't want to give the other person false hope by saying "maybe" things can work out. They know deep down that they are done and are forced to say a definitive "no" to the other person.
The chorus repeats in the second half of the song, emphasizing the singer's lack of direction and low emotional state. They blame the other person for trapping them in a "rusty cage" of negative emotions like jealousy and rage. Ultimately, they conclude that the other person is not good for them and that they need to move on from the relationship. "No No No" serves as a declaration of independence and self-respect, telling the other person that they are not going to put up with being mistreated anymore.
