Guanaco como solista empieza su actividad en el año 2001, en 2003 graba su placa Lecciones De Saña Y Maña que sería publicada en 2005 mediante el sello independiente Pan De Cordero Records el mismo que es creado por Guanaco y un colectivo de artistas para publicar su obra de forma organizada, en la actualidad el sello consta de 5 producciones.
En 2007 Guanaco forma el colectivo PESOS PESADOS Sound System edita el álbum “1er Round” y el vidéo de su single Lento se ubica en las 10 primeras casillas de la cadena MTV latino.
En 2008 Guanaco luego de haber recorrido todos los grandes festivales ecuatorianos y los escenarios en todas las provincias, visita por dos ocasiones Perú, la primera vez como juez de la Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos donde realizo una exitosa presentación que le permitió volver para el Festival “Latino América en Rap” en el mismo año.
En noviembre del 2008 Guanaco gira en Buenos Aires, Argentina realiza 6 fechas en Niceto Club y otros afamados clubes, ademas graba una colaboracion para el reconocido productor de cumbia digital El Hijo de la Cumbia.
En noviembre del 2009 graba el tema “llego el cantante” en colaboración con el rapero chileno Zaturno y filman un video el que próximamente estará en rotación en cadenas internacionales.
En el 2010 es invitado a la ciudad de New York por el Museo de Arte de Queens para el sierre del evento Renacimiento Ecuatoriano y además realiza siete fechas en esta ciudad, entre ellas el Rebel Roots festival en el que comparte escenario con King Chango.
En junio de 2010 Guanaco participa el Festival ONTHEGROUND organizado por la asociasión SPRAY CAN ARTS CONCERTS de Bélgica y en Julio 3 en el Festival ZARAGOZA CIUDAD (España), ademas graba con el colectivo Pacha Mama Crew el tema “de la misma olla” el mismo que se rodaria el video en las Torres Kio en Madrid, también graba con el artista de reggae dance hall Newton.
En este año Guanaco entra formar parte del movimiento LA REPUBLICA que tiene entre sus filas a artistas de mucha trasendencia para el hip hop en español http://www.facebook.com/larepublicahiphop

En febrero es escojido por la JMI FOUNDATION de Bélgica y el Banco Mundial lo nombran como Juez del concurso global de voces jovenes en contra de la corrupcion FAIR PLAY http://www.anticorruptionmusic.org/?jury
Al momento Guanco se encuentra tarbajando en su mas ambiciosa obra hasta el momento el álbum RAIZ, el mismo que tiene gran cantidad de colaboraciones de musicos, mc´s, cantantes, dj´s y productores del ecuador y de latinoamerica.
Guanaco tienes 6 albumes editados en diferentes proyectos como son SUDAKAYA www.sudakaya.com.ec , MORTERO etc. Ademas el artista dedica su tiempo al colectivo ALIANZA HIP HOP PARA LAS CALLES dedicado sencibilizar a jovenes de poblaciones en riesgo mediante la cultura hip hop en diferentes lugares del Ecuador
