Khaled was at the origin of the band’s set up, which turned out to be very successful in Kuwait. Khaled was indeed good friends with Rahaf, and attended one of her piano performances. He was seduced by the young woman’s virtuosity, and suggested the idea of forming a band.
The young woman dreamed, from an early age, of becoming a pianist and thus agreed enthusiastically. She even suggested including a third member to the band: her best friend Renad. The band performed in a few concerts, more particularly in Baghdad. Khaled’s brother, a very talented musician, soon joined the band.
His musical knowledge and creativity even proved to be necessary to the band. The quartet’s name was then Guitara Band. The band’s objective was to mix traditional music with contemporary American music. Their first album was, however, not very successful.
The band became famous on the international scene thanks to their second album "Qessati", released in 2001

Ooo habibi...
Habibi tha'aal shuuuf ghalbi'il malmuuf
Habibi tha'aal shuuuf ghalbi'il malmuuf...

Ooo habibi'iii
The lyrics of Guitara's song "Habibi" are in Arabic and the word "habibi" translates to "my love" or "my darling". The song begins with the repetition of "habibi" which can be seen as an expression of affection and endearment towards someone. The following line "Habibi tha'aal shuuuf ghalbi'il malmuuf" roughly translates to "my love, come see the wounds of my heart". This line suggests that the singer is longing for their lover to see the pain and hurt they have experienced, likely caused by the distance or separation between them.
The repetition of "habibi" throughout the song can be seen as a form of reassurance and comfort for the singer, reminding themselves of the love they have for their partner. The line "Habibi tha'aal shuuuf ghalbi'il malmuuf" can also be interpreted as a plea for their partner to understand and empathize with the emotional pain the singer is going through. The song ends with a final repetition of "habibi" and "habibiiii", possibly indicating a bittersweet longing and yearning for their beloved.
