Guys 'n’ Dolls were formed in 1974, after Ammo Produductions held auditions for three girls and three boys to start the band.
The six members of the new group, Paul Griggs, David Van Day, Thereza Bazar, Dominic Grant, Martine Howard, and Julie Forsyth, first met in November 1974. They released their first hit single, "There’s a Whole Lot Of Loving" in January 1975 (this was actually recorded by session singers, and the group were later discovered not to have actually recorded the original).
In the six years that followed, the group released several more hits, including "Here I Go Again" (1975) and "You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me" (1976). In 1978 they shared the stage with Frank Sinatra at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
In 1977 the group had a Number one in both the Netherlands and Flanders with "You're My World", formerly made famous by Cilla Black.
(By 1977, Van Day and Bazar had left the band but continued to have success as Dollar.)
Guys n’ Dolls finished as a unit in December 1985, having spent eleven years together. Grant and Forsyth performed as a duo and had another five hits in the Netherlands.
In 2006 the original six members reunited for a major Dutch television show. See http://www.p.griggsy.btinternet.co.uk/Untitled/Guys_n_Dolls_Reunited.html

Here I Go Again
Guys 'n' Dolls Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Same old show again
Why do you and I
Always seem to say goodbye
We may meet again
But nobody knows
Where or when
So kiss me just once more
Here I go again
Same old show again
Here I go again
Cause I'm all in love with you
Friends say: "Let her go"
But how are they supposed to know
Just how many times
Can we play this pantomine?
Here I go again
Same old show again
Here I go again
Givin' in again to you
And here I go again
One heart to grow again
Here I go again
Gonna fall in love
Cause I'm all in love with you.
The lyrics of Guys 'n' Dolls's song, Here I Go Again, explores the frustration and hesitation that come with being in a relationship that doesn't seem to be working out. The singer is back in the same situation again, with the same issues and doubts, and wonders why they always seem to end up saying goodbye. They may meet again, but without any assurance of when or where, it seems pointless. The singer wants one more kiss and to be held close, hoping that it will make everything feel right again.
Friends are advising the singer to let go, but they can't understand the depth of the connection between the two people. The relationship feels like a pantomime, with the same script and outcome each time, and the singer is getting tired of it. However, despite all of this, they feel compelled to try again. They want to fall in love and grow one heart again. The singer acknowledges that they are all in love with their partner and therefore, here they go again.
