Bad News
Gwen Beats Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired, uh
I see the devil out here in disguise, oh
Why the fuck you out here tryna play the victim? I
But today, I guess I realize, that's how life goes
I done been through Hell and I survived the storm
I was on the couch, I was kicked out of my home
You say that you know, but only I know (I know, I know, I know)
And all I hear is bad, bad, bad, bad news
I know you know too
Bad, bad, bad, bad news
It's all that I hear

Every day, a different headline, a new story
I know it's not real, so why do I worry?
I know you for yourself and not for me
The fame change people, why don't you just call me?
Oh well, I'll be the bad guy until I flatline
Money make the best guys turn into some bad liars
I was right there when nobody was
Don't ever try to act like you were never loved

And all I hear is bad, bad, bad, bad news (Bad, bad)
I know you know too (You know)
Bad, bad, bad, bad news (You know, you know)
It's all that I hear
Bad, bad, bad, bad news
I know you know too

Bad, bad, bad, bad news
It's all that I hear (Call, call, call)

Overall Meaning

In Gwen Beats's song Bad News, the lyrics express frustration with the negativity and falsehoods that surround the singer in their life. The opening line, "I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired," conveys a sense of exhaustion and weariness with the constant barrage of negativity. The next line, "I see the devil out here in disguise," suggests that the negativity and deception are coming from unexpected sources.

The following lines call out someone in the singer's life who is playing the victim and not taking responsibility for their actions. The singer admits that they have been through difficult times themselves, but have survived and come out stronger. The chorus repeats the phrase "bad news" four times, emphasizing the overwhelming nature of the negativity in the singer's life.

The second verse shifts slightly, acknowledging that much of the negativity comes from the media and the constant barrage of sensationalistic headlines. The singer questions why they worry about these things when they know they are not real. They also express a desire for a friend to reach out and connect with them, rather than being changed by fame and money.

Overall, the song expresses a sense of frustration and weariness with the negativity and falsehoods that pervade modern society, while also acknowledging the singer's own strength and resilience.

How do you feel about the Padres collapse and lack of team chemistry?

@Official Nolan LaValley I don't think a new stadium solvesolves much as the Baltimore Orioles and the Texas Rangers how painful it's been since the new ballpark.

@John Strawb don’t forget the injuries too though. That didn’t help matters in the pitching department.

Official Nolan LaValley

I don’t think that the collapse is as bad as we are making it out to be. Let’s not forget that 38 games on their schedule were against the dodgers and giants who combined for a 213-111 record. More than half of those games were played after the all-star break, about the time their record tanked. Put two and two together and that’s a large source of the problem. It’s hard to be successful in a division like that.

It’s Hosmer that’s the problem , He is a hotdog and you see it in your highlights especially the play with two outs in the ninth when he did a cool snatch of the ball and basically blew the game for them

Any coach that throws his player under the bus for hitting a grand slam will lose his team just like he did.

@Endless Adventures I think one of the greatest lines in the history of cinema is apropos to our discussion: "What we have here is a failure to communicate". I like college football as well. The best rivalries mostly involve the best teams. I also enjoy watching future pro-bowl players, make the others look like a pee-wee team. The best teams have the best players. The best players make the best plays. See where I'm going with this? Did you enjoy any specific individual plays , that would...what for it.. , help the team be competitive?
Here's a thought experiment geared towards your "perception range". Babe Ruth batting against Randy Johnson in a mid-April game: Would you watch it?
The platitudes you use to explain yourself are about as precise & helpful as a blind, epileptic, silverback gorilla performing brain surgery.

Endless Adventures

@greatloverofmusic1 I am watching a lot of college football and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the world series...but I would not watch a home run derby or highlights of individual plays over and over.its obvious my point went swoosh right over your perception range.to each their own
