Gymnopédie No.1 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics are a homage to God and his sacrifice. The singer praises and celebrates the Lord because he came to save them. They mention how he gave up the glory of heaven and came to earth to carry the cross for their sins. They believe he rose again from the dead and went back to heaven, glorifying the Lord's name. The song repeats the same phrases to emphasize the message.

The lyrics show a deep faith and devotion to God, and the song's melody creates a contemplative atmosphere. The tune is about Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No.1, a classical music piece recognized for its slow and peaceful rhythm. The song moves from a neutral mood to a climax followed by a brief pause to end. The singer repeats the message of the song, glorifying the Lord's name and showing gratitude for his salvation.

Overall, the lyrics and the melody of the song create a sense of peace and hope for believers in God, who can find comfort and inspiration through it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts wild stranger on the internet.
I know what feelings you describe. Not having enough grasp of a thought or not being able to visualise an idea. Feeling nostalgic for something you've heard the first time in your life.

That's what this piece of music and art is for me. I heard it for the first time today, well at least consciously. And I feel like it's a memory from a better past, I've never had or at least I'm not aware of.

Life is what you make of it. That's what I have found for myself after 32 years at least.

Everyone has other expectations, goals and dreams of and in life.
And that is fine I think.

Some might live their life and will vanish from the collective memory of the earth.
Others will make a huge impact and will go on to live forth in history books.

And I think that's fine as long as one is happy with their life and their decisions.
The journey is what counts not the end of it.
At least that's what I have made peace with.

You don't have to be your best self every day of your life, or help each and every granny that wants to cross the road. It's okay to be just who you are.

Live your live happy stranger, not waste it, you might only get one, so at least be happy with it.

Adieu.

Hello everyone, this video is dedicated to my Patron Mike Barnett who has been doing some amazing things with my MIDIs. He's been supporting me since the beginning, so I want to thank him and all of you for your ever-growing support! This piece evokes the feelings of being in a dream, like floating amongst clouds in ultimate tranquility, I hope it brightens your day.
