I love how Zimmer can make his music sound indigenous to the time and place where the movie is set. I mean, doesn't Pirates of the Carribbean sound "pirate-y"? The same goes for this score! Outstanding!!!

Wonderful piece, the clock is a great idea. I close my eyes, I can hear and see : a clock, a fast rythm, danger (violon), and "Discombobulated" Holmes / Robert D jr. running around the stairs, up and down until final drama.

all i can say is BOSS simply BOSS i love this. it's my favorite movie theme...i especially love Robert Downey Jr. in this film, but this song just fits this movie so perfectly! Brilliant composition. at 2:23 it starts the true part of the song

Watched this movie so many times; the first few times were to understand what was going on ;) but the rest are bcause this film is the best. Fav movie ever. Saw the second one twice. Seemed more serious and better effects but i still love the first one better. And part of that is bcause the music from the first one is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Great stuff but as with most of his memorable work, Hans 'borrows' heavily from the works of his peers and the greats. When I first heard this song in the theater I immediately thought, "Cool, Ennio Morricone composed this!" It's still quite good though, extremely catchy.
