My idea for a third alien/prometheus movie is as follows:
The engineers are the main characters in the movie and comes to the planet that was in the Prometheus movie.
There they find Weyland inside the crashed spaceship. They have a blue elixir which they empty all over him and bring him to life.
In the next part they arrive at the planet from alien covenant and find the other robot(Walter) who is david's twin.The engineers use the blue elixir and repairs him.
Once awaken the engineers and Weyland get to know all the horrible things that David has done, and weyland says "we have to stop David" .
They set course for origae. When they arrive,they scans all the planet,and finds the planet is full of hostile organisms except
on a high mountain where they discover that there are humans inside a cave.
Inside the cave they meet a herd of children, who tell that when they had lived on the planet for over ten years,
they began to be attacked by Xenomorphs and all the adults died or were turned into these creatures.
There were also great giants developed by someone the children calls David.
The engineers get ready to wipe out all the Xenomorphs that David has created, but the great giants manage to escape with one of the engineers' spaceships.
The engineers and Weyland hunts the spaceship and manage to force the spaceship down on the planet lv426.Where it start sending a distress signal.
The engineers return to Origae to find David, but discover that he has escaped.
In the last part we see David arriving and meeting an unknown alien species
on a tropical like planet.And that makes the cliffhanger that ends the third movie.

Life is such an epic piece of music that should have (but unfortunately won't) gone down as a classic movie theme. such as the Jaws theme, Superman theme, or Star Wars theme. I feek as though Life has as much power and emotion behind it as any of those other famous movie themes, but because of the lack of success of the film it was created for, I doubt most people ever even noticed just how good this piece of the film's score really is. It's a shame, because it perfectly represents it's subject, in my opinion.

@Jarret I agree completely: This is one of the most beautiful, haunting themes in all of film music. However, it wasn't composed by Streitenfeld but rather by Harry Gregson-Williams, who wrote two Prometheus tracks, "Life" and "We Were Right." I'm not sure of the circumstances in which he was called in to contribute this music, but I'm sure glad he was.

Just to note, I still go back and listen to this at least once every month or so. When David played it on a flute (if I remember correctly) in Covenant I was so surprised. It was a nice addition to the second film, because it is such an epic piece of music.

I read an interview excerpt of Marc Streitenfeld explaining some details of the score: "I actually wrote out the sheet music backwards so the orchestra played it backwards and then I digitally flipped it. So you're hearing the score as it's written, the same melody, but with a backwards sounding orchestra which gives it a kind of unusual, unsettling sound."

This helped me better understand why I've always been drawn to this score since day one. It's the way the note shifts sound so bendy and odd. It's mastered in reverse of how they played and recorded it in studio. Pretty interesting, I think.

They should have done a proper Prometheus 2 instead of the lame Covenant that gave into fans wanting to see more of the Xenomorph. We missed out on a great sequel...

@44excalibur Does this mean that Aliens takes place in the same universe as “The Man In The High Castle” another one of Phillip K Dick’s books where in an alternative reality the Nazis and Japanese win WWII. This explains why there is such a heavy Asian influence in Blade Runner, because BR takes place in California, in the book “The Man In The High Castle” the Japanese take over the west side of America. It also explain why Wayland later becomes Wayland Utani.

Some comments are very strange, what is more left to know about engineers? It’s just like any Polanski movie ending, and also same is shown in interstellar. This movie is so underrated and people who think Alien Covenant was lame, you people are better off watching some other genre, you are not fit for sci-fi!
