Her musical career started with the group Fishbowl in London. However, the group disbanded without releasing a single album and she became a DJ. After offering club promoters to spin for free, she went on to do regular appearances in concerts and parties in London. Since then, she has had success with Circus Tour with Britney Spears, and also scored support spots for Enrique Iglesias, The Pussycat Dolls, Lady GaGa, Chris Brown and Rihanna in Australia.
In early 2008, she signed with Universal Music Australia and released several albums of her compilation series titled 'Crave', featuring mixed R&B and hip hop. Crave Vol. 2 made it to the top five of the ARIA compilation chart and over 50,000 units of the Crave series have already sold in only one year. Crave Vol. 4 debuted at #2 on the ARIA compilation and urban charts and over 100,000 units of the Crave series have already sold in a little over a year. Her most recent album Crave Vol. 5 came out on the 29 October 2010.
Havana Brown was nominated for Best DJ at the Urban Music Awards in 2007 and won Best DJ in Pop Republic Magazine’s It List in 2007.
Havana now also holds down a weekly spot on Australian radio. Every Friday afternoon DJ Havana Brown can be heard on the Austereo network where she mixes a set for the "Ad Free Fifty".
Havana released her debut single 'We Run The Night' in 2011. The song reached #5 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and earned Brown two ARIA Music Award nominations for Breakthrough Artist Single and Highest Selling Single.

We're dancing with the stars
In the city of darkness
We don't care who you are
'Cause there's one thing we know, whoa oh oh
There's one thing we know, yeah, yeah
There's one thing we know, whoa oh oh
That no one lives forever!
In the city of darkness
We choose to refuse to cry
In the city of darkness
We're not scared to live or die
'Cause there's one thing we know, whoa oh oh
There's one thing we know, yeah, yeah
There's one thing we know, whoa oh oh
In the city of darkness
We're dancing with the stars
In the city of darkness
We don't care who you are
'Cause there's one thing we know, whoa oh oh
There's one thing we know, yeah, yeah
There's one thing we know, whoa oh oh
That no one lives forever!
That no one lives forever!
The lyrics to Havana Brown's song City of Darkness seem to portray a place where people are carefree and living life to the fullest amidst a dark and unpredictable environment. The opening lines "In the city of darkness, we're dancing with the stars" suggest that even in the midst of darkness, people are finding joy and happiness in the little things. The repetition of the phrase "There's one thing we know" throughout the song emphasizes that despite the uncertainty of their surroundings, they hold onto the knowledge that no one lives forever.
The lyrics also seem to suggest that this city is a place where people refuse to give up, and they are not afraid to take risks. The line "We're not scared to live or die" highlights the fearlessness of the people living in this city. It's almost as if the darkness surrounding them has become a part of their existence and they have learned to coexist with it.
Overall, the lyrics to City of Darkness paint a picture of a place that seems to have a certain charm and allure despite its inherent darkness. The people seem to have accepted their reality and are making the most out of it.
