-Convince the non-believer of the Messiahship of Jesus and their need for Him as Redeemer and Lord.
-Encourage and admonish the believer to trust the Word of God in faith and knowledge.
-Adhere to and teach the sound doctrine which was taught by the Lord and his disciples.
Blending hip-hop and apologetics (an explanation or defense of the Biblical faith) they present what they call "Hip-Hologetics". This was also the title of their freshman release which sold tremendously well as an independent effort without national distribution. The success of "Hip-Hologetics" earned the duo several awards and allowed them to travel across the U.S. spreading the good news of Jesus the Messiah. Several songs from "Hip-Hologetics" were heard all over the world via radio, internet downloads and radio stations.
From their fresh vocal delivery to their poignant lyrical content and their soulfully creative production; by God’s grace, Hazakim has been in the lab perfecting their craft and are hard at work to bring you more Hip-Hologetics! They have devoted their gift of poetry to the Lord, making Him the focus of every rhyme. Through the power and sovereignty of God, they strive to be teachers and ministers - an effective evangelistic voice to this generation. Amazingly, they have seen the Lord use this ministry awesomely in leading the lost - Jew and gentile, young and old - to the Messiah. After all, it is not the method, but the message in which lies the power. As spoken by Anthony of Hazakim in a recent interview, "…We believe that the Lord has big things in store for Hazakim, to His glory." So be it!

Yet the scriptures declared that the patriarchs did see
A man or an angel equated with God
So who is it that they saw?
Listen, it is written "No man may see God and live",
Yet the old covenant states times when they did see
A man or an angel equated with God,
So who is it that they saw? (Theophanies)
As Abraham sat by his tent in the heat of the day
Swattin flies and mosquitoes away
He looked up and saw three men, metres away
in the distance so he arose
and hurried from the entrance of his tent
then he bent low, down to the ground
in a position of submission
he voiced his petition.
"If I have found favour in your eyes
My Lord I beg of you do not pass this servant by"
Let some water be brought so you can all wash your feet
And wait in the shade of the tree
As I prepare something to eat
That you may be refreshed and be on your way
"Very well" they answered do as you say
As they ate the lamb Ishmael and Abraham stood by
Like a servant waiting to fulfill his masters will.
Because he understood that one of the three
Was the invisible LORD manifested in visible form
And the scriptures testify this man when referring to himself
used the name of the Most High
And prophesied he would return in a year
to give Abraham and Sarah a child
and at last it came to pass
So was it really crass to say that God became a man?
And is it contrary to the faith of Abraham
Then who was it that he saw?
In the afternoon heat eating bread and meat
with dusty feet and all
It is written "No man may see God and live",
Yet the scriptures declared that the patriarchs did see
A man or an angel equated with God
So who is it that they saw?
Listen, it is written "No man may see God and live",

The song "Genesis 18" by Hazakim tackles the idea of theophanies, which are appearances of God in human form as seen by the patriarchs of the Old Testament. The lyrics question the existence and identity of God in human form by referring to the fact that it is written that "no man may see God and live", yet the scriptures also declare that the patriarchs did see a man or an angel equated with God. The song references the story of Abraham sitting by his tent and seeing three men approaching, which he quickly recognizes and bows down to in submission. One of the three men is referred to as the invisible LORD manifested in visible form, who prophesied he would return in a year to give Abraham and Sarah a child, which ultimately came to pass. The song brings to light the question of whether it is acceptable to say that God became a man and who it was that Abraham saw.
The song's lyrics provide insight into the concept of theophanies, which have been a topic of discussion in religion for centuries. The title "Genesis 18" refers to the chapter in the Bible where Abraham sees the three men, which is a pivotal moment in his life. The song also highlights Abraham's submission to the Lord, as seen by his act of bowing down to him. The lyrics ultimately leave the question open-ended as to who Abraham saw and whether it is acceptable to say that God became a man.
