In Your Face
Headshot Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

An act of selfishness and the twist begins
An act of arrogance, confess no sins
There is no sympathy, suspended love
Neglected harmony, opposition grows

Interplay of disagreement escalating higher
Depraved in agony, fuel for the fire
Apparent indifference, two worlds divide
Manifest hostility, two worlds collide

Without respect
Without a cause
Without regrets
And no remorse

In your face

Insidious act
Is now designed
The will to kill
Is on my mind

In your face
In your face - hit
In your face - punch
In your face - kick

In your face - kill
Gone insane

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Headshot's song 'In Your Face' depict a sense of anger and frustration towards a situation where an act of selfishness and arrogance leads to the breakdown of a relationship. The lyrics describe how there is no sympathy or love anymore, and instead, a growing opposition that leads to a sharp divide between two worlds. The interplay of disagreement escalates, leading to feelings of agony and fuel for the fire. The manifestation of hostility is the ultimate result, and the two worlds collide. The lyrics suggest that there is no respect, cause or remorse. The song's climax is the repetition of the phrase "In your face," emphasizing the violent undertones of the lyrics.

The song's message is open to interpretation, but it appears to be about betrayal, revenge, and violence. The use of violence in the lyrics is not to be taken literally. Still, it is a metaphorical representation of how the character in this narrative feels about the situation. The lyrics depict a character who has gone insane, and that is the reason they contemplate violent acts. The song's structure is simple, and the repetition of the phrase "In your face" adds emphasis to the message intended in the song.

I wish I could do portrait photography! But I never really tried to do that, I was - and I am still - too afraid of it. This video is awesome, very stylish .. and you have a great way to explain stuff. And it made me think again about trying it. It just would be another step out of my comfort zone.

Just try it. If just for yourself! You might surprise yourself. I never liked seeing myself on screen so making videos was a big hurdle to start with. All the best Thomas

Superb presentation! I pretty much go about my Self-portraits the exact same way. However, I find having "Deloris" as a priceless edition. While I do rapidly find how I want my lighting through a few test images, having a mannequin head would definitely cut down my process time. I normally just use a tripod in the focal point area and manually focus. However, that process still requires putting the chair spot on where I had the tripod focal point and me sitting in the right spot. I've done it countless times so it's not an issue but the way you go about it, with the mannequin head, is much more practical. Good stuff! #newsubscriber

Great explanations of using the light in different ways I think sometime we get complacent in what works instead of using different styles options. Thank you!!
