Glistening sweat that seeps from brow
The person is sweating profusely due to the nightmare they are experiencing.

Toss n turn with deepening frown
The person is unable to sleep peacefully and their frown deepens as they struggle.

Deep inside the nerves are screaming loud
The person's inner self is filled with fear and anxiety that is becoming overwhelming.

Somewhere in the mind it sees
The nightmare the person is experiencing is a result of their subconscious mind.

Tortured paths of misery
The person sees themselves going through difficult and painful situations in their nightmare.

It's not real but wants to believe
The person knows that it's just a nightmare but it feels so real and terrifying, that part of them wants to believe it's true.

All he sees and feels so real
The person experiences the nightmare with vivid and intense sensations that feel real.

A little touch of the surreal
There is a slightly unreal and dreamlike quality to the nightmare that the person experiences.

Deep in rem he lies so unstill
The person is in REM sleep but is not able to be peaceful or still due to the nightmare they are experiencing.

Moments passing he's falling deep
The person is falling deeper into the nightmare with each passing moment.

Deeper still he's falling steep
The person is falling even deeper into the nightmare and the experience is becoming more intense and difficult.

Steeply down this path of restless sleep
The person's sleep is restless and they are going down a path that is full of fear and discomfort.

In his mind he is running
The person feels like they are running away from something in their nightmare, even though they are physically laying down.

But really he is laying down
Despite the vivid sensations of the nightmare, the person is physically laying down and sleeping.

In the dark the lights are blinding
Despite the darkness of the nightmare, there are blinding lights that add to the terrifying experience.

In the silence plays a horrid sound
There is a disturbing and scary noise that the person hears in their nightmare, even though there is silence outside of it.

No way to stop it
The person is unable to end the nightmare or make it stop.

No way to stop it till he wakes
The only way for the person to make the nightmare end is to wake up.

He still thinks his life's at stake
The person feels like their life is truly in danger and the nightmare is more than just a bad dream.

His mind's eye is full of fear
The person's mind is filled with fear and it affects what they see in their nightmare.

And from the eyes weeps a tear
The person is crying in their sleep due to the intense emotions they are feeling during the nightmare.

Wishing he could wake from this nightmare
The person hopes that they can wake up from the nightmare soon and escape the fear and discomfort it brings.

And the dawn it rise with hope
When the dawn arrives, the person feels hopeful that the nightmare is over and they can move on from it.

Anymore he will not cope
The person feels like they can no longer handle the stress and fear of the nightmare.

And with the sun it throws him a rope
The morning sun brings hope and a sense of relief from the nightmare for the person.
