Get Some Go Again was the first (and, sadly, only!) RB album I ever bought. From what I did know, it was totally different to loads of his other stuff, but I think it's a pretty solid album. Some quality stuff to hit the gym to, and lots of witty, intelligent observation in the lyrics, backed up by a loose but groove laden backing. I really love his spoken word stuff too!!!

I think when you have a child you shouldn't show him Rollins Band directly, but if he/she discovers Rollins Band for themself you should accept and support. Henry Rollins have always a discrete and unique content in his songs, which is true, but not so represented in the music-scene (it should be).

That wasn't The Rollins Band (that ended in 1997). It was Henry Rollins and Mother Superior (1999-2003). Henry DID re-form The Rollins Band for a brief time in 2006 before completely abandoning music altogether.

Well he's like 52 now, and it seems he prefers his spoken word tours more than this. Anyway, it's hard to maintain the muscle mass Rollins likes to present when he performs live like this nowadays. He's still an intimidating looking SOB, but, you know, with age comes different interests and a degrading body.

No Bob, I guess the problem is that when I first started going to see shows back in the early 80's you could lean right up against the stage and even hang out with the bands after the gig. I actually shot the shit with Henry Rollins after a Black Flag show during the "Slip it in" tour, NOW you can't even get closer than 15 feet near the stage.

I will always remember him as the sweaty dude with no shirt on six feet in front of me on stage! And the guy who signed his autograph on a flyer....Rollins...aka David Bowie. About 1000 years before he was on Sons of Anarchy. :-/

I saw this lineup in Philly in 2000,I think. Good band,and great show,but not my favorite lineup. Best lineup IMO,would be Sim Cain,Chris Haskett,and Melvin Gibbs. Andrew was great on Bass but Melvin brought this funk with his distorted bass and bass wah that was just BRUTAL.

Really preferred the Hasket-Gibbs-Cain lineup to Mother Superior backing him up. I don't hate this, but I liked the post-punk angry sound of the former Rollins Band. Mother Superior was a little more metal than i cared for.

This was my least favourite lineup of the Rollins band, but Henry still managed to release some awesome stuff with them - and the show here was great.

Best lineup: Chris Haskett, Sim Cain, & Andrew Weiss
Second best: Chris Haskett, Sim Cain, & Melvin Gibbs
Third best: Mother Superior (i.e., Jim, Marcus, & Jason)

Back when Rollins was Big. What's so funny is Al Jourgensen, on tour w/ 'Ministry' went 2 visit Trent Reznor, who shared a Bus w/ Rollins who jumped up & said "No Junkys on my Bus!" Al punched Rollins 👊 in the Face. End of Story. I love that one !

i was there, there have been hangars for smaller gigs that totally rocked. but the mainstage was strange. the entire festival was demonic somehow.at this time i had my yearly wacken and it was glorious shortly before it was flooded and turned into a circus event 2002 onwards. bizarre sucked because everything was concrete, not field and it was stuffed,crowded with Jocks of the worst kind and their nasty female counterparts. on this gig, rollins who i watched because his band(original) played a huge role in my musical "puberty" was weird, in this video the crowd appears to be way bigger than it actually was. Henry had "lost" his shops(method acting beef i guess) at this time, he was not bad by any means but his timing problem was up the alley + no high screams anymore, as if he dragged himself through. the good thing was, that he never spoke one word= 1234 next all the concert. which i had allot of respect for ! The band, also when i liked the drummer, appeared to be that one facial expression of the guitar player, it lacked in dynamics.
