Are You Ready?
Henry Rollins & Mother Superior Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Are you ready to rock?
Are you ready to rip it up?
Do you know what I'm talking about?
Are you ready to give it up?

Are you ready to dance?
Are you ready to hit the floor?
Are you ready? Are you ready?
'Cause if you're ready, I'm ready man

Are you ready to shake it up?
Are you ready to tear it down?
Are you ready to rip it up?
Do you think, I'm messing around?

Are you ready to rock?
Are you ready to hit the floor?
Are you ready? Are you ready?
So if you're ready, I'm ready, yeah

Are you ready to rip it up?
Are you ready to tear it down?
Are you ready to dance about?
Now you've finished messing around

Are you ready to rock?
Are you ready to hit the floor?

Are you ready? Are you ready?
So if you're ready, I'm ready

Rollins forever evolving and reinventing himself, never stagnating, always gives 110 percent fucking legend!

Brad C

I liked this RB lineup a lot, very powerful and skilled musicians backing Rollins.  However, the crowd acts like they're watching a Barry Manilow concert.

Brakarei

Man I wish I had some kind of opportunity to travel back in time and see Rollins Band and Fugazi play a show.

SegaCDUniverse

Saw them twice. Once doing Black Flag songs for West Memphis 3, and the other time just Rollin's Band. Both the same venue, it was awesome!

Ed Goodlife

I saw BOTH of them on their FIRST european tour.

StationDead96

@Hell yeah! that makes four.

Kenn Hiser

I saw RB dozens of times as they were living right near our favorite club from 87-92 or so. Before they were MTV darlings. Epic.

Sean Mac

ah yes. it was awesome.

Get Some Go Again was the first (and, sadly, only!) RB album I ever bought. From what I did know, it was totally different to loads of his other stuff, but I think it's a pretty solid album. Some quality stuff to hit the gym to, and lots of witty, intelligent observation in the lyrics, backed up by a loose but groove laden backing. I really love his spoken word stuff too!!!
