Not going back, I'm moving ahead
I'm here to declare to you my past is over, I'm in You
All things are made new, surrendered my life to Christ
I'm moving, moving forward
Oh, yeah
What a moment You have brought me to
Such a freedom, Lord I have found in You
You're the Healer who makes all things new, yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm not going back, I'm moving ahead
I'm here to declare to you my past is over, I'm in You
All things are made new, surrendered my life to Christ
I'm moving, moving forward, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Listen, listen, you have risen with all power in Your hands
You have given me a second chance
Hallelujah, yes, Hallelujah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, sing it with me, sing it
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Not going back, moving ahead
I'm here to declare to you my past is over, I'm in You
All things are made new, surrendered my life to Christ
I'm moving, not going back, no, no, no
Moving ahead
I'm here to declare to you my past is over I'm in You
All things are made new, surrendered my life to Christ
I'm moving, moving forward, yeah, forward
(Forward) not looking back, no, no, moving forward (forward)
(Forward) not looking back, not looking back, looking forward (forward)
Yeah, forward, come on, sing it (forward) you make all things new, you make
(You make things all things new, yes)
(You make all things new) I will follow you, follow you
(And I will follow You forward) come on, sing it
(You make things all things new, yes) raise your voices and sing a little louder
(You make all things new) I will follow you, follow you
(And I will follow You forward) forward
You make all things new, yeah, give him praise, shout out hallelujah
Oh, yeah, yeah, oh
Put my hands up high in the name of Jesus, I'm not looking back
You make all, you make, you make
(You make all things new, yes)
(You make all things new)
(And I will follow You forward) yes, shout
Come on, say it one more time
(You make things all things new, yes)
(You make all things new) tell it tonight
(And I will follow You forward)
Clap your hands
The lyrics of Hezekiah Walker's song "Moving Forward" featuring Ricardo Sanchez speak to the singer's commitment to following Jesus and leaving behind a past that no longer serves him. The song starts with a plea to Jesus, stating that the singer needs him in his life. From there, the song turns to a declaration of the singer's decision to move forward and leave his past behind. The singer acknowledges that in Christ, all things can be made new, and he surrenders his life to him. This decision to move forward is not an easy one, but the singer reiterates his commitment to it several times throughout the song. The lyrics also touch on the idea that Jesus has the power to heal and make all things new.
Overall, "Moving Forward" is a song of hope and commitment to following Jesus, even when it means leaving behind something that was once very important. The singer emphasizes the idea that Christ can make all things new and that by surrendering to him, we can truly move forward in our lives.
