Eclipse
Hi-Finesse (Axiom) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I don't really care
Tired of pulling hairs
Just to be beaten down again
Follow in a line
Obey the written signs
Be sure to follow or you're lost
Hate the people you don't know
That's the way that life should go
Least that's the way they want it to
They tell you it's okay
Don't listen don't obey
Always be yourself in the end
Don't know how much more I'll take
Messed up all bent out of shape
Fallen to the great regime
Now a part of their machine
Seasons changing flying by
Asteroids fall from the sky
We're heading for a full eclipse
Welcome to the apocalypse
Don't be deaf or blind
Open up your mind
There's so much to learn out there
We don't make the rules
Yet we follow them like fools
Who made them up anyway
I don't care what people say
To them our life is a game
A game that we're all forced to play
Kings and queens are in the back
We are pawns used for attack
Hold your guard you worthless bunch
Don't know how much more I'll take
Messed up all bent out of shape
Fallen to the great regime
Now a part of their machine
Seasons changing flying by
Asteroids fall from the sky
We're heading for a full eclipse
Welcome to the apocalypse
Welcome to the apocalypse

Welcome to the
Run for your lives

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Hi-Finesse (Axiom)'s song "Eclipse" portray a sense of frustration and rebellion against societal norms and control. The song reflects a feeling of being tired and fed up with constantly trying to conform and please others, only to be continuously knocked down. The opening lines, "I don't really care, Tired of pulling hairs, Just to be beaten down again," express a sense of apathy towards the expectations and criticisms of others.

The lyrics also point out the pressure to follow blindly and conform to the rules set by society or those in power, even if they don't make sense. Words like "Obey the written signs" and "Always be yourself in the end" highlight the conflict between conforming to societal norms and maintaining individuality.

As the song progresses, it introduces a theme of approaching chaos and impending doom. The lines "Seasons changing flying by, Asteroids fall from the sky" create a sense of urgency and the feeling that the world is heading towards disaster, symbolized by a full eclipse and the impending apocalypse.

The lyrics culminate in a call to action, urging listeners not to be passive and blind but to open their minds and question the rules imposed upon them. The closing phrase, "Run for your lives," suggests a need to break free and escape from the constraints and pressures of society.

Overall, "Eclipse" is a song that captures the frustration and rebellion against conformity, while also raising awareness of the potential consequences of blindly following societal norms.

I haven't gotten the whole thing planned out yet, might change the name to something different, but the basic story is this:
The Darkness had spread all over the world, nobody could stop it.
The only ones who can are the Hero and his Trio (yet to be named), who would go on the longest journey to end the Darkness once and for all.
