Something Better
Hidinin Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm closer to the edge than ever before
Gotta find a new road further on
Still stuck dont know where I would go
Even if you would come along who then lead I would feel
I am moving to a place where I belong
Is there a easy way out when I'm feelin down?
Do I need a reason to move on to something better?
On the otherside there will be something, something better
So get me off this train of thought cus I've been here for too long
And I don't really know why I got here when you are not around
And it was my choice to be alone
And everybody wants to wait to be with you
Now I feel I'm moving to a place I don't belong
Is there a easy way out when I'm feelin down?
Do I need a reason to move on to something better?
To breakout I've got to start now
On the otherside there will be something, something better
Moving on moving on slowly
Something better
Moving on moving on slowly
Is there a easy way out when im feelin down?
Do i need a reason to move on to something better?
To breakout I've got to start now
On the otherside there will be something, something better
Something better
Something better
The lyrics of the song "Something Better" by Hidinin tell the story of a person who feels stuck in a place with nothing left to offer. The lyrics express this person's desire to move on to something better, and their internal struggle as they try to figure out the right path to take. The opening line of the song "In a place with nothing at all" sets the stage for the feeling of despair that the rest of the lyrics build on.
The lines "Gotta find a new road further on" and "Is there an easy way out when I'm feeling down?" express the person's desire to move on and move forward, but they are struggling to find the courage to do so. They are also questioning if there is an easy way out of their current situation, or if they need a reason to move on to something better.
The chorus of the song repeatedly emphasizes the need to "move on" and break out of the current situation to find "something better." The last lines of the song, "Moving on moving on slowly, something better," suggests that even though it may be a slow process, the person is determined to find something better and is willing to take the necessary steps to make it happen.
