HCM are a metal band from Beja, Portugal, who appeared on the musical scene… Read Full Bio ↴HCM are a metal band from Beja, Portugal, who appeared on the musical scene in 2001, by the hand of João Ramos (vocals and programming) who was joined by his friends Pina (drums), Aresta and Rosa (guitar) and João Franco (bass).
Their main idea was to create a different kind of sound, mainly industrial, and obviously influenced by the musical background of each member. Their sound is unique, fast, futuristic with strong and melodic choruses but, above all, powerful and aggressive.
It is almost impossible to listen to their songs without feeling anger, rage, euphoria or pleasure.
Although the band played only a few gigs in 2002, they conquered a huge number of fans whose devotion was rewarded. The gigs during 2002 and 2003 were surprisingly good and the band’s quality and originality were rewarded: HCM won several musical competitions and played across the country, from Braga to Faro.
The following years were rich in live performances and the fans have remained by the band’s side.
Their first demo was released by the end of 2001 and it sold out immediately. Now we are waiting for their first album, which will be released by Raging Planet and Sons Urbanos.
